Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Great to see another Hedge Fund trying to muscle in on the party albeit a two-bit one. Only a Billion under assets. I think they will need to be careful. Kuvari wants to be with the big boys, but will get burnt. It happens.
The reason its good news is because there will now be more competition between the funds to close at the optimum time. Same as always with this share - who will blink first ??
Will MW with the biggest position pull out first and revise their target to buy back or will the non experienced funds jump ship because they can't take the heat.
I have seen this very scenario played out for BOOHOO over the last 5 years, and it always results in a massive re-rate. Same patterns over and over again.
Some people on here try to make out like Short Sellers don't make a difference yet Kuvari increase to 0.59% on 23rd November and we drop from £1.85 to £1.74 in the space of two days.
I think there is still a bit of a way to go, but its going to turn soon, very soon. 2022 is going to be the year Boo get back on track. The Capital Expenditure has been made, Costs will ease and we will finally have a more normal spring and summer. Back to Growth and back to business as usual!!
I knew it i KNEW it!!!
Shein making workers do 75hr weeks!!! 75hrs!!! Labour exploitation!!
Come on Pedro Kallumama lets hear it??? More skeletons hiding in the closet? Etc etc
Come on.... what do u have to say?? Don't you think SHEIN should have a year long of investigations and trashing in the press like Boo did?
U can BET there is much more to be revealed. Where are the Times???? Shouldnt they look at their wages as well? Go to the factories?
Some many questions.... no answers
Major competitor shown to be unethical. 1 - 0 to Boo.
Mode factory coming!!
I disagree. They are using manipulation due to the vast amount of capital they have at their disposal to destroy the retail investors pensions, savings and futures.
Knowbody - But they are not just 'betting' are they??? They are using their Billions under management to employ machine learning technology to sell DAILY into any weakness in volume. The tactics they use are unique to players of this size in the market and gives them an asymmetric advantage.
If they took one large one large sell position on the day then I would agree its a bet to buy back once their pessimism has played out, but they dont, they use devious tactics to panic Private investors. Look at how they take out large positions on results day to hit stop losses and magnify negativity??
I haven't even mentioned how they suspiciously open positions right before a weekend of bad press. Its NOT a level playing field when it comes to Hedge Funds and the impact hits the smaller players. If you can't see that then you are naive .
Why do you think shorting is banned in some countries and was nearly banned here?
MW HATE this being over £2.00. They know any consolidation and its game over. They tested closing a small amount to see the reaction. They are certainly at the top end of their % tolerance. I have seen this time and time again with this share over the years, once the Hedge Funds have left then it will turn around. Some people think that they are just selling into the trend. They are not, their daily selling IS forcing the trend. Trust me, they will be sitting in their little Mayfair office debating when to close this and worrying every day about positive news from Boohoo and the economy. We are looking to close the week higher. This will not be going down well for them.Henry is sitting watching the screen as we speak just itching to take profit, but greed Paul and Ian are saying "No Henry you naughty boy, we want MORE money for Daddy MORE!!!!"ok... we all want to make money, but how much do Ian and Paul want?? Disgustingly greedy.
Oh look!! MW desperate to get this under £1.90 for the weeks close!!! Glad to see they are wasting their ammo. Fools!
Expect some good coverage over the weekend to send this up ok Monday.
MW have never been more than 3% short on a position and that is the max. I expect maybe one more open from them, but after that they are too exposed by their own rules. Expect a jump to £2.20 soon. Change of direction coming!
It is testing everyone's patience... I think its also a case of capital shifting around to chase short term wins. As soon as the clouds clear I believe the money will flow back in again.
Feel your pain Knowbodyyouknow... the minus number is not looking pretty that's for sure.
Its basically a perfect storm at the moment isn't it. I am happy with the company and they cannot do much about external Macros issues, but navigate them as other retailers will have to do. I just wish they didn't spend quite so much on the London office. I think that capital would have been better sitting as cash on the balance sheet given the circumstances.
It does beg the question at what level would we see a Director buy? One at £2.00 would have been nice and shown confidence, but one at £1.50 looks more like a trade..
I guess everyone has three options. 1. Cut your loss 2. Hold through it with optimism 3. Buy more and average down.
Might have to be option 3. I cannot see MW taking more and more risk shorting this. I mean where would it end? One bit of unexpected good news and they could loose millions.
Wait and see I guess
That's the thing... I mean I get a negative Press article could have a wider reach and dictate sentiment, but one poster on a forum? On any given day how many people are even on these chats? maybe 20 to 30 different posters? Not going to have any effect is it, so it really does beg the question if someone is not invested, why spend precious time trashing it with no motive? Its about the saddest thing you can do. I do think saying things like 'its gonna be a bloodbath' could scare a new inexperienced poster into selling at a loss, which is pretty low.
Good to hear from you Chancers. Well there is nothing as fishy as the Financial Markets so all perfectly plausible what you say. AIM has always had the rep of being the Wild West lol which I just don't think suits Boohoo anymore who are now turning over Billions with a solid Balance Sheet. Everyone always speculated what would happen if Boo didn't deliver expectations and now we have got that out of the way. I think this year and to some extent next year will just be a transitory period setting the foundations for years of growth and who knows.. one day we may get a Dividend.
Pedro, no one uses phrases like "its gonna be a bloodbath" without some sort of motivation. You know what you were doing. Its not helpful to try an panic people. Never understood why people spend so much time of their life commenting on something they don't own... honestly I really don't get it. You would have to be paid to do such a thing? Why else? But I am really not sure if paid deramping is a thing. never seen any evidence for it, but then I guess it would be hush hush.
Shorters will do EVERYTHING they can to keep this below £2.00 into the weekend because if we hold above it for a few days the trend will turn. Hold strong.
US are Allies. China are not. The international community are wary of their intentions. Look how Huawei played out.
Some people on here were saying Quiz was going to be Boos downfall. I admit anyone can start a clothing website, but the capital, time and expertise to take it to Boos level is something that can only be done over decades. Boo is at the front of fast fashion and is only going to get bigger.
I think there is a BUYER in the market... oh no i KNOW their is... its in black and white.
£2.50 after Black Friday £2.80 after we beat records, £3.00+ when they announce the Law Suit being settled.
Good day.
Shein will have some BIG Skeletons in their closet. Politically it will not make sense for our Government to incentivise or endorse companies from China after Brexit. Allowing them to just walk in and take market share would send the wrong signals to the public about what 'Leave' really meant. In the future expect limits on their marketing spend and barriers on them ever setting up proper logistics here...
The government will want to promote home grown business' who employ UK workers in their 'SUPER' factories delivering same day to UK customers.
Excellent RNS today. Inevitable it would drop after MW got us to £2.00. You can hear the chat in Mayfair can't you... "Guys, that's a large short increase now, but we need them under £2.00" "give it all you have in the morning to take them under as much as you can" "Ok I'm off to stuff my greedy capitalist face in Nobu" "Catch you later yaaa"
Let the deadwood sell out if they don't want the 50% gains in the next two years. Some funds are under strict rules of not holding positions if they have dropped x% over x period of time.
Look out for new funds loading up as this hits bargain territory.
Also, the MP who was having a big pop at Boohoo has been found guilty. Not such an angel herself is she. Just goes to show that you can't trust the Media and left wing wokies.
Drop tomorrow? Maybe? Likely? Who cares if u are holding for a while. Ignore the noise.
Pedro... give it a rest and take a break.
Cheers Keepcalm. Good to see you back buddy.
The sell off is over done and the shorters have exacerbated it. Imagine making that much revenue but suffering a temporary spike in costs that wipes off Billions from the Mcap. Madness!!! Gonna be some serious money to be earnt for those that buy in now.
Never believed in paid derampers until Kallumamma. Tbf he is cleary no slouch, but the popping up out of nowhere and being dedicated to trash a share from 7am till the end of the day is very sus...
This share will turn guys!!!!! Just chill. I just wish they didn't spend so much cash on a trophy office in London. Silly move. Summer 2022 will be a Sales bonanza!!! Large 50% swing this year.
Two Hedge Funds either competing or colluding. Who will blink first. Enjoy the ride.
Marshall Wace were always going to test £2.00 this morning. They cant sell for ever.
Buy now, thank me in 2022 when its doubled.
Be greedy where others are fearful. Play them at their own game.
P/e gets better by the day.
