Its an interesting one on how to play the weekend. Some will sell fearing the potential negative press and a drop on Monday, but I think things will play out differently this time and there will be some hints at Wednesdays numbers and we'll see another gap up. Everything is out in the open now.

Ok, given all of the retailers were so sanctimonious about their supply chains when the articles hit, I think its now time for them to get all the skeletons out!!!! They delisted Boohoo, but now its time for ASOS to expose their supply chain.

The markets know all of Boohoo's secrets now there is complete transparency. The know the numbers the dont have to worry about any more exposures!! Excellent long term scenario for Boohoo now.

Archie Bland is tweeting by the minute and looks so desperate to tarnish Boohoo. I think there needs to be an investigation as to why he is so negative on the company to this extent. Full enquiry.

This share has given an amazing amount of opportunities for late comers to get in at a good price. Still more conservative than others on next week, but looks given to be over £3.30 now and i revise upwards to £3.40-50 Comforting to see no shorts have reduced. They always use the volume on the day to cover so should get a bounce on that.

Don't rule out some negative press back end of the week. One last shot from the Guardian and one last chance to speculate on the outcome of the slavery issue. Will hopefully be balanced by the anticipation of big numbers.

As we get closer to the 30th, it might be worth thinking about your strategy for the morning and the day.

One bit of advice that has caught me out before is setting a stop loss too close to the end of day trading price and rather than the share price just gapping up on great results, it has dipped on a large downward spike then massively jumped, so think wisely on where you place it.

I always feel there is a bit of a lag whilst the information is being digested and you can often see another bounce after the Conference call with the Analysts etc.

One other thing to be aware of is that if all is positive day, you could see a week of rises as opposed to just rising and falling on the day. I have missed out on some good profit selling out too early.

I don't see us out of the woods yet going into the results as the government is all over the shop, but i'm still hoping for a realistic £3.30 - 40 on the day.

They seemed positive on Vaccine progress and no total lock down yet. So if we can just hold out till the 30th we should be ok. Just need the markets to settle down and digest what it means. Like I said £3.30 - £3.40 and I would be happy. £4 would be over the moon.

I do hope you are right Chrishar and respect your alternative opinion. I just think the closer we get to results day without making good week on week progress and still seeing how fragile the share is, its looking unlikely to jump from a possible £3.20 to £4.00. Its could happen in the next couple of months if sentiment is with it and shorts close. Just warning new investors to not get caught up in the exuberance, because odds are that it won't happen. I also believe some will say and predict £4.00 but in reality have a much lower target to sell at. Cynical I know, but that's the game people play.

My god, where is the Middle Ground opinion here. Its either £4 + easy or 80% drop. I saw some comments on Friday and the weekend where the price was predicted to get way ahead of itself, but if you watched the news you can just see the tension building around the 2nd wave.

The big drops today are the usual knee jerk reaction to a weekend build up of negativity. People will be pulling positions allover the markets and as Boo will make up part of a bigger portfolio for people, its inevitable that money will flow out of the stock. There is a large part of Automated trades that will be doing this anyway.

Once rationality resumes people will look for stocks that will weather the storm better than others and we should see this bounce back again.

But for anyone new, be very mindful that the chances of this hitting £4 on the results days is not actually likely, and the same people that said that are the same people that said by now we would be way north of £3.50.

More likely, if the results are good and the investigation goes well then its much more probable that it will ht £3.30 with a possible spike to £3.40 then a retrace.

Well, thank you for responding and do understand I don't mean offence. I just think it would be easy for anyone to say my mate's Mum knows a guy in the pub, who has a Dog that knows a Cat that says the Boohoo share price is going to £4.00.

You may be being completely honest and I take it at face value as its interesting to understand the mechanics of the city. I studied Economics to Masters Level so only have a theoretical understanding other than what I have taught myself.

So when you say they are 'working towards £3.75', do you mean they are pencilling that in as a level to sell at?? or is it a level that would keep them on track for Fund targets?? Again, if after all their analysis, fundamental and technical? Meetings with Board members? market research, have they already placed all their positions?

steveknowsnothin - Who is working to £3.75?? a bank? what does that mean? Sorry, no offence meant, but always a bit dubious when someone has a 'friend in the City' . Without going into personal details, what is he /she Equity Analyst? Hedge Fund Manager? Works in IT? Cleans the kitchen??

Surely, if they had some real deep professional insight you would be pumping in every penny you have right now.

Inferno, I had thought along the same lines as you as to Boohoo giving just a couple of updates to stem the negativity, but i'm now thinking that the strategy to get everything out in one foul swoop maybe better as any negativity will be offset by the numbers!

I never said anything about 'want'. What I said or the point i'm making is that this share price will float around and drop back on nothing until there is conviction buying (solid long term buyers / institutions, closing of shorts) to set direction, which is why i said don't get excited at £3.20.

But to be clear.... yes, I do wish for the share price to go up so I can profit from it.

Yeah that's why I'm saying don't get excited yet. I'd imagine the fall has correlated with the FTSE and the inflation numbers. Which is silly because there is upsides and downside to low inflation.

We need the conviction buyers to set a solid medium term direction not robots and day traders selling out on any previous highs. I agree its also MM's playing around.

I actually think its highly likely that another article will drop before the 30th.

The narrative will be around 'Boo set to respond to modern slavery' and will just be a vehicle to bring up all that's happened in the last few months again and again. Its all factual from their part as Boohoo are indeed set to respond, but we know what their motive is.

Also depends if Odey has time in his diary to have dinner with the relevant journalists to cover his short in time.

Great to see it at £3.20, but no confidence it will stay there. No point getting excited to watch it suddenly plummet.

I will certainly be holding for the results, but bare in mind a lot of people will use any rise to cash out and not take the risk. It may pay off for them it may not, but its a gamble worth taking in my opinion. The odds are in our favour now!
