You are right Goldline, it is a speculative investment but risk is the very essence of investment.
I have over the years found that it is greed that is so often the downfall.
If you have a quick 100% plus on a stock it must make sense to sell half, have a free carry on the balance then move on with the original returned capital. In order to do this sensibly it is nescessary to buy enough stock in the first place with just this objective in mind
If you then end up with a Regal so what? Another up-side in this strategy is that it reduces stress levels and gives an incredible sense of well being and altogether a much better lifestyle! Perhaps more people mght try this way of thinking/being.
If the argument against this is that one is missing out on a 'potential' extra 30p a share then the reply to that is so what? Everyone is talking about £2.00 per share, I am talking about 'great if they do get there', my shares cost nothing. Please tell me KWB1, who ever went bust taking a profit.
I may be wrong, but my beach house in the W. Indies rather says not!
Good luck to you all, If the shares eventually go to £10 I will not regret selling half my stake as life will have moved on.
