Carltt ref 13.12 post I did say that the mirror article gets a 1 for accuracy. Team Resolute comprises of three UK registered companies. Navantia (UK) is the lead contractor and is the UK Subsidiary of a Spanish Government owned company. The article deliberately puts Navantia in a bad light. It is not in Navantia's interests not to keep to its commitments to the UK government.

I have just come across this letter from Rt Hon Tobias Ellwood to the Secretary of State which raises a number of questions. https://committees.parliament.uk/publications/31955/documents/179399/default/. I found question 14 of particular interest as it raises the possibility of export orders, I note a negative view on this was found. It is worth noting that the date for reply may end up being after the contracts are signed. Well it will be in January so the hot air might help keep us warm.

Gheko ref 10.50 post My reading of the situation is that after the interest rate decision on Thursday which saw a 0.25 rise in the Bank Base Rate the new debt facility should be signed off in the next week. As far as the FSS contract is concerned this at the finalising of the terms stage so they will be getting it this is clear from the Prime Ministerial visit yesterday.

While a placing can never be ruled out I do not see any immediate need for one.

I note we had both the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland on the visit today. As the rest of the visit is to do with getting the Northern Ireland Executive up and running, would it be me being cynical that the PM might dangle a large contract or two in front of the local politicians on condition they start playing nice with each other they lose the contract(s). On second thoughts they would not be that devious would they.

The financial arrangements agreed between the members of Team Resolute are a matter for the companies involved and it would not be appropriate for the Ministry of Defence to comment.

If you are invested in HARL for thelong term certainly long enough to get dividends then the Intraday share price should not be a concern. If you are a trader then the intraday shareprice is of grreat importance so you do not make a loss. On that basis, if correct, most peopleposting on this bord would seem to be traders.

Some people this morning have suggested a Directors buy to give reassurance to markets and encourage buying. While the previous buying did lift the share price I am not sure that it would be as helpful this time. I say this because if I saw JW or AR buying shares now it would signal tome that there would not be any price sensitive news coming within the next four weeks.

Avyererdowt ref 18.18 post With a JR there are no live witnesses it is all on paper and oral submissions which rules out problems with witnesses. As there is, as far as I know, no functioning Executive in Northern Ireland anything that would need Ministerial approval would be delayed so that could be a reason for the delay. I am not sure how well the No Gas Caverns fundraising is going but most KCs would not get out of bed for much less than £15,000 plus most would have a Junior to assist them so the legal bills must be mounting. I would assume that all the evidence would be in so both parties would know how good their case is. It then becomes a question cost/benefit analysis. I note that JW still sounds bullish I am not sure if that is because the DAERA case is strong or he is just trying to put the best gloss on things. If you stir all that around and if neither side is 100% certain of their case they might look to settle. Post BREXIT I am not sure if No Gas Caverns would risk an adverse costs order against them.

I would not be very surprised if between now and May we see a consent order disposing of the JR alttogether.
