I do not normally do these but having looked at today's order paper there are a couple of questions of potential interest they are :

9 David Duguid (Banff and Buchan)
What assessment he has made of the adequacy of Government support for the Scottish fishing industry. - Anything said about financial help with building new ships in Britain would be worth noting.

The other question is

10 and 15 Jerome Mayhew (Broadland)
What assessment he has made of the impact of the level of defence spending in Scotland on the Scottish economy.

mcadder ref 06.26 post I say the same thing everytime this rumour starts. I would add that an offer of 116p a share does not even cover the value of the current order book. To cover the value of the current order book you would need an offer nearer £4 a share, and that is before you start on the value of the other assets.

In my daily check of the Belfast Harbour website I checked the In Port page under vessels and noted that there are five vessels docked in the berths used by HARL, these are:

Excalibur in BBD due to stay until 28 February
Isle of Inisher currently in OQ but will shift around on 23 Fenruary
Lady Ellen currently in SRQ due to shift around on 24 February currently scheduled to depart on 25 February
Pentalina currently in SRQ currently due to stay until 29 February
Dublin Swift due to depart 08.00 on 23 February.

Ksp47 ref 08.03 on 2 the Board will know if the rumours are true. In any event I do not see JW agreeing to any takeover and even if the regulatory issues can be overcome I do not see shareholders agreeing to anything below £2.

On first reading the RNS I missed this sentence 'These upgrades, along with an increase in the overall size of the fabrication halls, will ensure that the Company is prepared for future domestic and export opportunities already in the pipeline' I am not sure how long the extension will take to be built but it looks like 2024 will be interesting.

I see that the planning application has gone in. This shows that HARL are not hanging around. This means that the after the extension the fabrication halls will be circa 40,000m2.

Bubble2021 ref 17.44 post It would seem that some BAe employees were seen at Appledore and this started a rumour of a takeover. In today's RNS it states ' Furthermore, the Company has been contracted to fabricate a frame at its Appledore facility for a prime contractor as part of its ongoing defence programme.' The visit could be linked to this or the M55 programme or FSS with BAe being sub contracted to do some work. Really it could be anything. All I can say is that people saw BAe employees at Appledore and got over excited.

As I said before there are competition concerns around a BAe takeover. Previously there was a duopoly with HARL now in the picture there is greater competition. The Competition and Markets Authority are likely to have concerns ovr a reduction back to a duopoly. Also I do not see the MoD agreeing to this I would not be surprised if the MoD was to pull the FSS contract in those circumstances.

twib ref 14.04 post BAe are sub contractors on the M55 programme. There are certain sensitive items that need to be fitted and BAe are the only people currently qualified to do it. I do not see a takeover by BAe being approved.

LSE03 ref 13.30 post I note that they are using the same process as at IM.

HarChris/Xenor If you check the RNSs you will see why I felt there was going to be a lack of news. At one stage there was one contract every two months.

Xenor ref 12.58 post If I recall, and I am sure you will correct me if I am misremembering, my prediction was based on there being no news. If the newsflow does stop then it is possible that the share will start to decline. I need to see how the newsflow goes for a bit longer to come to a firm conclusion.

What does HARL have to do before Cenkos of Liberum issue a brokers note? I know that HARL has to pay fees to the brokers but they do not seem to be doing much.

LSE03 ref 11.59 post I note in the articl it states 'It has 10GW of early stage projects, while 3GW of assets are expected to become operational between this year and 2027. Those 3GW of projects will cost between C$16bn and C$19bn to develop (€11bn to €13bn ).' I think a share of that going to HARL would be helpful.
