I am raising this for disscussion I have no decided view either way. With HARL not seeming able to get fair value on AIM should a US listing be considered? A US listing would not affect HARL's ability to bid for defence contract as it would remain a British company.The question is whether the level of regulatory burden and costs of a US listing outweigh the benefits.

Si_Derman ref 09.32 post I suspect it is a bit of both HARL can only update the list of significant shareholders with the information when they get it. Also I believe they do not have to update it more than once every six months. I am sure you remember the time they went about a year without updating. So it may be that the shareholders are not informing HARL or the Registrar so HARL are not updating the list. Interesting question when does the registrar have to notify the registrar of any changes he is notified of?

We have lost a lot of good posters on this board. There is nothing wrong with negative views just politely refute with facts there is absolutely no excuse for insults which are in fact a breach of the posting rules on LSE. if you cannot be civil do not post this does not only go to TheDogFarther.

I was looking for something else when I came across this https://www.ap-group.co.uk/news/2020/a-p-tyne-wins-seven-year-contract-with-cory-fro-21-barges. I note that Cory did not go with A+P for the contracts HARL won. It would seemCory group are replacing almost its entire fleet of barges. Also it is worth noting that HARL are doing the fabrication quicker than under the A+P contract.

ForrestGump ref 08.38 post do you have any actual evidence of any sellers acting in concert to bring the price down? Killik as a broker can only act on their clients instructions. I would also note that the last we were informed Kave had less than 3% of the issued shares so on your theory that he has continued selling he would probably have sold his shares by now. There is no way to actually know as a fact what is causing the share price slide. I do not see how these conspiracy theories help. If you are holding for the long term daily share price fluctuations should not be an issue.

Today's adjournment debate at 10pm is Health and safety on offshore windfarms on the UK Continental Shelf. what would be interesting to check is when winding up does the minister closing the debate says anything about possible legislative changes. Any such changes may lead possibly to work in getting existing windfarms to comply with the changes, (if any).

Are the shapes profiles and shapes preset so that it can only do the shapes and profiles that have been preprogrammed into it or can HARL programme it to do the shapes and profiles it needs.

Also I suppose that it would be just as easy to do all the cutting with the plasma cutter at the same time so for instance you would cut all the parts for the mid section for allthreeships at the same time.

Xenor ref 13.04 post nothing is stopping them except as long as they believe that the MoD will keep throwing contracts at them they have no incentive to invest in upgrading anything. BAe only started to build the covered hall when the MoD provided support. I do not see them investing in improvements until they lose contracts.

JamesH85 ref 09.22post Thanks for that. If I was BAe or BAB I would be concerned as the likely efficiency gains would make them competitive on any tenders that they go for. I note that HARL are eyeing the Type 32 if it goes ahead so with this new kit BAe and BAB will be in a fight especially if HARL does not team up with Navantia.

MaryBr190 ref 15.56 post I agree in urban areas some objectors might have a genuine objection in most cases as you say it is nimbyism. In England when people object the normal response is to add planning conditions. I am not sure that preapplication consultations actually achieve what they are intended to. If I had my way I would get rid of them as they are a complete waste of time.

With IM I fear HARL are going to be tied up with pointless litigation which would hold up a necessary project because some people are unable to compromise along the lines of the mitigations proposed. That is enough from me on this I need to watch my blood pressure.

Kaeren ref 15.07 post I was answering the part in Xenor's post when he asked 'why they would have needed public consultation.' I believe there are ocassions when there is a public consultation before an application is put in for the reason in my post.
