Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Take it from someone who has experience with the Pengillys. They are takers. Have look at some of Daddy Pengilly listings, Gem Diamonds, Zanga and this one, They all have a characteristic chart shape - L curve. They take and then the PI's get burnt. Daddy Pengilly can't lend to his son -he is short on funds himself - he has creditors after him.
I admire you positivity however I wonder just how enthusiastic Glencore is or even f they consider the holding an asset. Remember it was an incidental acquisition for them and has been probably been written down to zero. They have a lot of other fish to fry...let's see.
I do think it is this year or bust.
Good point.
Well having been here for 8years has taken quite a lot of effort.
Do you get involved in the management of all the companies you invest In? I would be delighted to hear about the effort you have made with regard to ZIOC. Given where we are I would suggest not much:)
technician
Your point about Elphick is in my view spot on. When last did anyone hear or see Elphick or any director for that matter? They are conspicuous by their absence. Everything is left to one AT and we all knnow here that has got us.
Not good enough. I am little tired of perfunctory notes at the end of an RNS from Elphick .
After 10 years a little more effort is required.
Worth a read:

Another incidental observation is that whenever AT releases an RNS the share price tanks. Hence, buy on the rumour, sell on the news...maybe one day. Sell in May and go away...perhaps.
Much speculation as to what Glen's position may or may not be. No one knows for sure and Glen has not said a word. The only thing we really know for sure is that the asset exists.
Elphick and Trahar should get an award for being masters of can-kicking. Can-kickers extraordinaire!
Just when you thought it not possible to repeat, the can was kicked even further. Well, 10 years of bull markets and bear markets and absolutely no progress. AT I would have thought would have called it a day and moved on to other opportunities but hey he is till here as are we, but for how long?
I say again Clifford Elphick's Gem Diamonds and ZIOC have both been disastrous performers for PIs.
ZIOC really is a case of "buy on the rumours and sell on the news".
There is often speculation that a GLEN or ZIOC agm will see some earth shattering revelation regarding the future of ZIOC, however to date this has never materialised. The RNS (when it comes) is going to be the only source of relevant direction - up or down.
