Yes I agree the pay deal will get sorted, no real problem here, unfortunately the state of the market conditions and this news was used to bring the price down to buy on the cheap...

Does anyone know if the vote to accept the merger has been set and if accepted when the merger is expected to be completed?

The current CNE price suggests we should be about 60p (0.6 *3.8= 2.28)

Like a lot of people we understand that you would like a low re-entry point....I for one hope we never see 50p or below again and the merger acts as a positive future and thus leads to a more stable company, paying a dividend that then leads to major institutes investing to allow the share price to grow from here.

It surprises me somewhat that none of the UK tabloids have not covered this merger in any real depth, yethn they were all ready to stick the boot in during the last few years when the company was seen to be going out of business, just shows the power the shorters and slimy their mates the mm's have of an individual stock....just hope now we start to see some upward traction towards the 65 to 70p over the next couple of months.

Using a conversation of 1.25 per usd, it gives a price of 57.6p, maybe explains why it never passed above 57p recently?

Many of us on have for some time have thought the share price has been kept artificially low, me included. If that is indeed true, then if as I suspect this merger deal has been going on for some time, then would it not have better that the price had been driven to £1, meaning we could have negotiated just 2 shares for every CNE share held?

The BBC article states "The combined company, through an all share deal, is being valued at £657m. It will have production of an estimated 100,000 barrels of oil per day, and identified reserves of 343 million barrels, mostly of oil."

Is that correct, as I would have thought the combined company would be worth double the £657m value stated?

I suspect that that when the merger deal completes, the enlarged share capital will be then consolidated to 1 share for every 2 previously held meaning the share price will end up at around 1 pound per share....may be wrong may even be, 1 for every 4 held, meaning then it would be approx 2 pounds based on todays respective share prices.

I hope you are right Pang, as that is the only way we going to get 90p by 3pm now...lucky if we ever get to 70p now in my opinion with the enlarged group....kiss that £1 goodbye, that I dreamed of from the current price.

Not saying you are wrong BigRisky, but I for one will believe it when I see the share price go higher from here after the AGM on Wednesday, since we have had do many false dawn's as far as announcements go. GLA.
