Part of my 'bonkers' portfolio, jimjam... a few holdings which are or have been in the pit of despair for years! If they come good then I'll be quids in.

One of them PET is up over 40% today!

I think we're all looking for signs of a turnaround - I've adjusted my expectations somewhat since a year ago. H1 was a disaster in terms of revenue. H2 should be a huge improvement... not just on H1 but also on previous halves... some revenue expected in H1 should filter in to H2 and, now that the changes at BP have been implemented, one would expect production and sales to get back to what was expected with the long anticipated higher grade coming through. Add in the additional revenue from other projects and I'm not surprised that we're seeing the sp recover.

The £500k loan is a game changer for me and signals that AP is confident that the turnaround is working.

I think the doomsters who have been talking up an imminent fundraise for weeks now are reading this all wrong. I think we're now heading towards a new and better funding deal.

Who knows, the diamonds might turn up but as someone else has already said, AP is determined to get the job done here.

He's change already, loyaltrader - he provided a £500k interest free loan!

I can understand the doomsters' position - AP created the mess and has diluted continually. I can understand the bitterness towards him - people have lost fortunes or sitting on massive paper losses (including me!).

I've said before that, given the mess, AP has been doing all the things that you would expect a CEO to be doing to get VAST back on track and investible. For me, the court involvement provides some reassurance, as does his interest free loan. He has supportive lenders - they have not pulled the plug and the scaremongering of the doomsters have proven to be way wide of the mark .

The key is whether his actions are beginning to show positive results...I'm hopeful!

For me, there's still a long, long way to go but I'd suggest that this could be the recovery story of the year.

And no placing this morning! Clearly the doomsters have got this wrong. Good news could come from a number of fronts.

Remember, VAST (BP) is under court supervision and AP must have presented a deliverable plan to get VAST to financial stability and long term viability. My guess is that it is all coming together now. Market cap is still less than £5m!

My guess is that stability has been brought to BP and, as a result, that a new financing arrangement is on the table.

However, it could also be new projects in Taj... might even be diamonds!!!

sp has drifted down from 0.45 or thereabouts since the consolidation last March... I'd expect to return to that level at the very least. Market Cap still only £5m!

Same old record! Folk have been suggesting a placing for weeks now.

Could be a number of different reasons that we're seeing this bubble away. I'm very hopeful that good news is on the way!

Now that talks are underway (albeit without all parties), we should hear something positive. SP will jump around for the next week or 2.

Initial optimism that a peace deal can be done has waned... US approach is all wrong... inexperienced and arrogant...the worst combination! Zelensky isn't likely to tow the US line and Europe and UK will step in.

I think the sp is sitting where it's at (and not rocketed) because the market realises the reality of negotiations. It's a positive step to get Trump, Putin and Zelensky engaged but it's still a long way off an agreement. There will definitely be a peace premium for EUA but, perhaps, a couple of weeks away.

Zelensky has stood up to Putin for 3 years and is not about to bow to Trump. He's already signalled that he's not agreeing with Vance. I don't see much being achieved in Munich. Zelensky will have some red lines and the security of Ukraine against more Russian aggression will be one.

Trump risks completely alienating Europe/UK and losing US influence if he carries on as he is. 4 of the countries within the top 8 in terms of GDP are in western Europe and I doubt if Trump wants to lose their custom.

Well said Seamus - we all want peace but not at any cost. Putin originally underestimated Zelensky's and the Ukrainian people's resolve. Trump might be doing the same - he is definitely after some of those rare earth metals but he's also after the Nobel Peace Prize... believe me, I think that he'd rather have the latter than the former... he's that kind of guy. There's already been some backtracking on what Trump, Vance and co originally said. I'm hopeful that there'll be a deal in the next couple of weeks.

So the US are abandoning Ukraine and playing right into Putin's hands... not sure why they're even involved in any negotiations. I can see NATO being disbanded and a different western European organisation instead. Zelensky and EU should negotiate direct with Putin. Trump can then get on with his Gaza Riviera project.

Growmorecash - let's see about that. Things are way more complex than Trump and Putin having a cosy chat to divi everything up.

I just can't see a peace deal being done this weekend - a bit too soon. Quite apart from Zelensky's position, the EU will want a lasting peace with security guarantees. It was clear earlier this week that the US had gone off to do their own thing without including the EU and probably found some showstoppers as a result... the EU will now be around the table this weekend. A lot of people think that everyone will simply bow down to Trump (and Putin!) but that's not going to happen. Putin has caused great damage to Ukraine but he's also done a lot of damage to western Europe. There's a huge amount of political jeopardy here for EU leaders and Stammer - they need to do the right thing in the eyes of voters.

Have to remember too that this is Trump's route to the Nobel Peace Prize and he's not going to let Vance take the glory for whatever deal is agreed. Choreography for Trump to grandstand being the great peacemaker isn't quite there. If he was to hold a summit with Putin then I'd say that peace is imminent.

I'd say that it should bounce back now. AIMHO
