Bought in at £14 sold out at £19 a few years ago. just started a new position at 988p. not looking to trade, long term hold
Thanks Win, please keep the ML court case updates coming
Win/yeah,but theres no rush. The markets never do what you want them to do. I have been thinking about starting a new position in CVSG but with DT now looking more attractive ,i will top up DT
Lending/Im also a big Buffett fan. Too many just focus on daily movements of the SP. They dont realise they have bought a business ,which will return profits in the future. I dont know why, they dont just go and buy Bitcoin.
I hope it goes lower for the next few weeks, so i can load up my ISA. Remember you dont own the SP ,you own the company
Win/Im in my seventies ,so im drawn to anything medical .Im always going to the hospital for something or the other. My biggest holding is GSK. What i like about ML is, he has the ability to monetise his ideas.
Egan selling 800K(when she has 11M) isnt a problem,i would do the same. Remember we are dealing with venture capitalists. She will probably put it in a start up. ML is investing in Biotechnology. If he brings one to market,i am in
Bsa/ go back and read the IPO. They will probably say the money ML received from HP was used to start up DT
Savvy,i think your wrong to say ML has no influence over decisions over strategy/policy. He owns about 4%, He named it "Darktrace". He is the founder. Darktrace has offices a few hundred yards away from Invoke in The Strand. He has known the management team for over 20 years. The management team love him. Officially he has no position. I wouldnt be in this if i thought there could be a "come back" on DT over the HP case ,but Leading is right to point out the dangers.
CR888/i didnt realise, not only are you a investment guru ,your also a lawyer. It seems the market as not got your enthusiasm regarding "all publicity is good publicity".
The trouble with growth stocks ,especially tech is they are so hard to value. That is why the likes of Buffett wont touch them. I have had my biggest winners with tech ,so i keep getting drawn back to it. I try to look at the big picture and DT looks good to me. Next week we have the the ML court case ,never a dull moment with DT. GLA
Interesting,thanks
Savvy/what else are you holding?
Retire/You should now "bite the bullet" and buy back in. Its still below your old average
Win/never a bad thing,taking a little profit on the way up,well done!!
Al/If you sell out and it runs away ,you wont buy back in. What you should do is trim/top slice when you think its toppy. Add when it looks cheap.
AI/Youve made more comebacks then Frank Sinatra. With all the tailwinds ,you would be a mug to sell now.
Savvy/you should add to your long list ,the cutting of interest rates. I agree we could see £10 this year
Savvy/"Buy right price and hold tight" Sure top slice and add along the journey.
Savvy/your wasting your time, trying to reason with idiots who think they can time the market
