naughtygordie - about 6 weeks we were told (about 6 weeks ago). Due any time now for H1, then (I guess) about every 2 weeks for each hold thereafter.

Quiet on the bb whilst awaiting news... just saying the sort of news I am waiting for whilst being quiet!

Got to admit that I'd like to see some news today... Assay results confirming copper grades taken by XFR reader and nice quantities of gold, news that a fund has taken a 3%+ stake in the company and an update on H5 to say they are 800m in, found a 'double yolk' and the drill bit is still spinning.

Too much to ask?!?

Sohbutt - CB was clear i nthe last RNS... when the hole is finished, or there is any material change (e.g. technical problems), then he'll let the market know. So there is no material change and the drill is still spinning. It is good news.

I think the hole will end up around the 1,000 meter mark with most of it in mineralisation. I reckon it will be closer to 70m per day and therefore it could well be Monday before we get an RNS. Just my hunch!

If only he'd gone to bed when Docit told us to. ;)

There is also a belief that the Commodity Discovery Fund has been buying up XTR shares. If true, then we may also get an RNS if/when they have amassed a 3% stake. Would further boost market confidence.

I'm hoping they're still drilling this time next week.

Ella - Apparently the main environmental concern is pollution of the water table and it is the same with all sorts of mining operations.

I read up a bit about it after Iceberg posted that he'd noticed an old 'settling pond' on the satellite image for the site. It is one of the methods they use to is one of the methods for removing the harmful and I had to lock up what it was for! Settling ponds is one of the ways they clean water the waste water used before releasing it into the environment (pouring it down the hill!).

Shorn - The better the grading the more profitable it will be to mine and that will obviously influence how attractive this is to the majors. That said, £20bn worth of copper that is economic to mine is unlikely to be sniffed at!

Iceberg - Thanks for your take on where H5 is located. I am praying this is the drill that provides evidence we are not only sitting on a monster but a giant kraken with golden cathedral spires for tentacles! Maybe even a few kiddies as well?!?

I don't know if anyone has posted this before but I wanted to take a look at the site where our drill team are starting to uncover a copper and gold monster for us. It is amazing how close to civilisation it is, with a road literally running right past it! A find in a mining friendly juristiction, with established infrastructure, in a stable country and with the resource sitting relatively close to the surface and easy to mine. Could it be much better?

Bitcoinbuyer - I think that is copper ore (not gold) you are looking at in those core sample pictures. My understanding (happy to be corrected if I am wrong) is that we are hoping to find approximately half a pea of gold in every tonne of ore, that is unlikely to be visible to the naked eye (when looking at the core samples) and why the H1 RNS didn't give any gold estimates from the handheld machine (not going to be accurate enough).

What we do know is we have something that is at least similar in size to Boda and the handheld copper readings from the core samples indicate more copper than Boda. If that is confirmed by the assays, then we will inevitably see the market cap move up into Alkane territory. If the thing is even bigger, with higher concentrations levels of copper and gold (as CB has alluded to and hole 5 may evidence), then the value of the find will be significantly higher.

I personally think H5 could be the game changer here. If H5 indicates more in terms of both quantity and quality (i.e. multiple porphyry's and therefore more rich cores) then it is genuinely possible that we are sitting on a 10 bagger based on the current market cap. Nothing guaranteed but I feel like I've found the out-and-out favourite for the Melbourne Cup and the bookies have given me 10-1 odds by mistake. A once in a lifetime opportunity to make some serious money... I've lumped on.

Teip - If you want to wait until you have all the information required to fully quantify this in terms of size and the concentration levels for the copper and gold (and whatever else they find), then that is your prerogative. But picking winners after a race has been run seems like a waste of time to me.

I don't think most people will have the slightest clue what you are talking about. They've seen a roller-coaster and have jumped on board for the ride... sometimes people get lucky.
