I thought we'd get an RNS this morning re Bushranger.

Assays due. Confirmation of drill pad approvals. IP survey results. Hole 47 was 'in progress' according to the RNS on 31st March and has definitely finished. Hole 48 must be underway and may also have completed.

Apparently they are still assembling the Mother of All News Bombs. Let's hope they set it off soon... the suspense is killing me.

We really need an RNS now or the boredom may kick start a game of 'Guess the Hidden Offensive Word'.

Did the BB auto censor part of the name of a country mentioned by Gixxer?!? Instead of sparing us from ****** language, the programming has highlight it hidden within the inoffensive name of a country. What a weird thing to do.

Back on topic... an RNS of alluvial gold would be most welcome. It is amazing really how much potential SP driving news there is pending.

George - Fear not... completion is imminent.

Howezap - I think the next news will be Ip survey results and drill pad permissions and locations. Hoping it is going to provide support to the theory that Racecourse extends significantly towards the south.

Other than that, one good drill hole or assay results could see a nice tick up. As would confirmation of more income from Africa. Lots in the pipeline. Given up (again) though trying to predict when things will land!

Not a lot of trades today if you take out the obvious bed and ISA's.

Ted - You just keep making the same arguments and ignoring the counter arguments. Surely, it is time to just agree to differ?

As I have suggested before... why not instead tell us what you have invested in Xanadu instead of Xtract, and at what price, and just check in every quarter or so so we see how the different investment strategies are working out?

I am hoping for an RNS in the morning to give us an update on the IP survey (hopefully indicated a large extension to Racecourse to the south) and confirming the drill pad approvals that will allow them to continue adding to both Ascot and Racecourse. Then a cracking interview.

Mind you... every RNS prediction I've ever made has failed to happen! Here's hoping it is time for the broken clock to be .

Surprised that news wasn't included in the RNS. Wonder if there is another in the pipeline with an update on drill pad approvals and the results of the additional IP survey? That would make a good combo of news.

Ascot is already shaping up to be a monster. Looking forward to the imminent CB interview.

Captainbob - I do not doubt for one second that what you say was said, was said. However, I just can't help questioning the point of a buyback clause, which includes what is effectively an arbitration process in the event both parties cannot agree a price, without that independent valuation being binding on the part of XTR if AA wanted to go ahead. Makes no sense to me but hey-ho... we are probably getting a bit ahead of ourselves anyway!

CB - How about an RNS on holes 44, 45 and 46? We're itching to know more about what Ascot has for us.

whitts - Nothing stopping them going back to already approved drill pads and pointing the drill in a different direction. Guess they just need to weigh up the value of what new information it might give compared to the cost.

I believe the target data for providing a decision on the drill pads application was 7th March, so nearly 3 weeks late. Hopefully just a work backlog and not a problem with the request itself.

Andrew - I have to agree. How can they close off the pit in all directions and still hit the timescales for releasing an updated model/JORC?

We know it isn't completely closed off to the north. I still don't think they can be certain there isn't another porphyry to the east without sinking a few more holes. It is definitely still open to the south (CB will have seen the early IP results before the latest interviews) and we haven't even had the permissions through for the drill pads yet to start drilling to the south... let alone get the assays back!

Either the timescales with slip or maybe we get an interim update model/JORC at 2mt (in April/May) to kick start AA negotiations whilst they finish drilling and doing the assays?

Theiceberg - CB may be letting the excitement get the better of him by saying the surveys are pinpointing the location of the deposit but the surveys must at least be indicating to them that the Racecourse deposit extends further to the south and mat be thickening. I believe you have expressed some doubts that Racecourse would extend all the way to Ascot and some shared source/fault point... does CB's excitement (3 lines into the survey) give you more hope?

Joeman1 - It does indeed sound like they are confident they have the 2mt within the current known Racecourse boundaries. How much more will be added if there really is "a hell of a chance that it joins up" with Ascot at the source/fault? And not only joins up but "thickens" and, presumably, grades increase?

And Ascot got be as big as Racecourse, if not bigger.

It is going to take a little while to prove, and we need those drill pad permissions, but it should be a very exciting couple of months as news starts to drop.
