The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
If there is then let’s hope so.
I did not put that in my post as I have no hard evidence to suggest there is a seller.
JR shared a post a few weeks ago that suggested the seller had gone and the price went up to 64p and then straight back down again.
Who knows.....
If we can stay around this level until we either get a proper hard numbers update, the super app launch or the US listing then I am happy with that.
I must admit however that initially I can’t see the US OTC listing doing anything to the share price as lots of shares have this and there is no liquidity/volume at all. ARG is very established now in the Bitcoin mining space so rode the crest of that wave. Long term if we become established it will be great of course.
Very happy to be wrong but just managing my expectations.
Patience is a virtue here
Impossible to know exactly the cash burn of course, we had £31.6m at the end of October plus this fund raise of £36m so £67.6m total.
Any thoughts on cash burn are welcome.
As always DYOR
Beg your pardon the heading today says The Sunday Times but written yesterday. Either way great PR.

Just some Sunday hungover thoughts on the fund raise and general state of play.
This really feels like it has secured our future with £60m cash in the bank and great partners that will help support us financially with distribution into all of our key markets - off grid EV, data centres, marine, construction and rail.
Also there can now be no talk of a takeover anytime soon which was always a concern of mine ie. being taken over before value realisation. Mr Bond’s statement of taking this business from 7p to £7 really should resonate now - ambitious but achievable.
I appreciate some will say we need orders and I do agree but just think we have been partners with ABB for 5 months and in that period they and their clients have clearly liked what they have seen, hence they now have skin in the game (small change for them mind you) and have extended our partnership into the incredibly lucrative data centre market.
Also a great article in the Sunday Times today so really hoping for more positive momentum next week but if not the next leg up to £1 and beyond will not be far off anyway IMHO.
Sun is shinning on London, gyms, pubs are open and AFC looking a great bet this year.
Good luck all
Good stuff Croq, nice to be able to retire at such a young age, at 40 I am not ready yet. I certainly enjoy the industry and boozy luncheon’s with clients of course.
Same here with Argo I nearly bought when it was 10p in 2019 and then same as you after the exponential rise and pull back to 70p - kicking myself but hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Newboy, it’s all about tech, this value rotation will only play out this year if that and then markets will revert to post GFC type IMHO.
Well Croq good to have you onboard - no pressure then. No frenzy on this share yet but that’s what I like it means we are in early.
I work in Investment Management so have a good grasp on markets and invest in mainstream funds but also like to have a few shares for serious upside potential.
I wanted some Bitcoin exposure and with the open banking model which has worked so well in China along with an ex- Alipay CEO this came to my attention. I am slightly underwater here with an average of just over 60p but that does not bother me in the slightest.
It’s now up to the management to deliver this super app with some chunky merchants and let’s hope consumers jump on board. Cardless economy has to be the future.
It’s risky but worth it for the blue sky potential and we can dream of a 20 bagger which is only a billion market cap - first mover advantage and all that.
Good luck all
Good to see some AFC regulars on here. Rookie, Croq and Newboy!
Mode will have its time in the sun this year.....
So cheap with huge upside.
“7p to £7” quote from AB springs to mind!!!!!
GLA
Great news for long term holders, validates our tech and opens up a whole new HUGE market segment in data centres.
Minimal discount as well.
Well done AFC, this is happening people and can only be seen as exciting.
We raised a further £6m in Feb of which 10% went into BTC at circa £58k I believe. We should have therefore have £4.8m BTC roughly in the treasury.
We do need much more clarity on actual user numbers otherwise the percentage figures can come across slightly disingenuous.
Anyway I am very patient and confident of the future.
It’s been hinted recently by management that the launch will be towards the end of Q2 so in June.
Hopefully though they are managing expectations and we will get a surprise in May....
Looks like a very bullish appointment.
Well done AFC - another building block in place.
I get Instagram feed adverts fairly regularly so they are doing some direct consumer marketing.
Nice growth rates Mode!
All bodes well for the super app launch this quarter so let’s see how the market reacts......
Yes let’s hope 50p is the floor here with the recent 55p placing and 50p IPO in mind, although this did hit 37p in Dec.
Better to be in early than too late and I am confident this board will be very busy in the future with investors being delighted at getting in at circa £1 or a £100m market cap and then £2 at a £200m market cap and so on....
Upside is huge if they get this right - big IF though.
DW you have to be a paid deramper. Everytime the market is open you come out with the same drivel.
How exactly is it ‘unprofessional’ of AFC to not control a PR person at MSP on LinkedIn? I have heard it all now.
The fact is the unit is going to AFC’s site and then of course ‘maybe’ it’s going to Saudi. Why would they need to send an RNS out to clarify their every move?
MSP have already corrected their statement.
Please sell your shares and move on.
Yes Chippy that’s what I said earlier.
EV charging and transport.
Either E-Ex or ABB and hoping for the latter....
https://www.multisourcepower.com/article/fuel-cells-for-ev-charging-demonstrating-flex-ess-flexibility
Is this not for EV charging ie. ABB?
Well they have Feb and March user data now.
Over to Mode......
