"there is a very real chance". That's a fact. It doesn't contain a percentage certainty, because then it would be a guess. But stating there is a chance this won't get taken over is a fact based on probability. Just as you can't say, factually, that there is 100% certainty that there will be a bidding war. Okay? :)

They may well try to buy solg or an asset in a few years time. Just no time soon, I wouldn't have thought.

Just to balance Magoo (I assume I'm filtered, fingers crossed!), there is a very real chance that we won't be 'off to the races', and that no one will try to buy any part of solg for the next two years. Wouldn't want anyone confusing Magoo's optimism (and desperation, if they are 'fully loaded') for factual information :)

Red- it was cheap. Paying less than half of what BHP did for something they may want to mine in a few years time? No brainer.

Doesn't mean they are about to start a bidding war to try and buy the whole thing though. That's a leap too far, surely.

Or find a similar asset of their own. Don't forget that possibility, Fort. Maybe that's why BHP have set up their own exploration company in Ecuador. Massively underdeveloped compared to some other countries you mention. No rush to mine just yet- have a dig around first. That's their plan: they've been clear enough about that.

Bubble, should people summing the A trades to see if someone is 'building a stake' also sum the A trade sells that are 'walking the price down'?! Or can we finally agree that there is no Boogeyman in the solg share price- just small time retail traders thinking they're the next Warren B?

Hi red. Who said I was left £25k? It would be pretty irresponsible to shove a whole family's wealth into a random mineral explorer. Just re-read your CV and it's super impressive, so maybe you are right, and there will be a bid soon. Or maybe I'm right, and there won't. You claim to be doing exactly what I set out to do a week ago- stopping people peddling an opinion (that there will be a bid imminently) as fact. There might well be, but it isn't certain, is it? So we shouldn't state that there will be a bid.

Or you could say he's biased. That it is in his interests for the public to believe there will be a bid, or to try and trick a bid out of a major. And that he's following one of the most established playbooks in the game. You say he's got a bidder locked and loaded. I say it's bluster. He's tweeting. I'm reading RNSs.

Easy, Red- the all caps is a bit much. If you want some clarity on the buying and selling of shares, and market confidence in this stock, have a look at the sp. It is controlled by what people pay for the shares, and what price they sell them at. Unless you believe it is controlled and manipulated by dreaded 'autobots', in which case heaven help you and best wishes to the other aluminum foil hat folders.

So the 'fact' it is going to sell soon is something you're able to prove beyond refute, is it Red? Because I feel the only proof of that fact will be a sale. And it hasn't happened yet. Awkward...!

I didn't bring up the deficit as a reason for a buy out, Red- that was fort, I think. I don't believe it will be enough of a factor to force a sale before Dec '23
