Its not just Cambay that GSPC are in default for - its Bhandut too. Either Ron Miller was progressing spend on both joint ventures without their agreement or GSPC just turned into habitual non-payers. The fact that they are still paying something, however small, leads one to think that it is a shortage of funds rather than a consensual agreement principal for not stumping up the larger outstanding amounts.

Takes at least 3 months to mobilise a rig.. let alone get it stuck in customs..

They are well aware of what lies beneath their feet, metaphorically speaking. They will try every avenue to avoid having to give up their massive share, whilst obviously evading the costs to get to it as well.

Think adamsrups threw in the towel with this BB at some point. Not sure if he kept his holdings - probably did as they are worth sweet fa now.

OEX hung around for ages at the 4p - 4.5p mark after the 77H debacle... only the Zeta litigation case (which brought to the fore the issue of non payment by GSPC) took this down to where it is now.

If Oilex wins back 100% and announces a new JV, then there is no (stated) reason why this should not revert back to somewhere in the 2p-4p region. I also watched (and invested to help) it reach 12p .. and lost thousands on the way down with false information from the BOD. I'm not prepared to invest more here now, but I have bought the same number of shares for a few hundred to see if I can get some of my money back before the day traders take it!

pumpers here now know they can move the SP with just a few small buy trades... its a funny old game innit..

Ballio - you can guarantee that, as the percentage of people living longer is increasing, consecutive governments will be looking at novel ways to tax the blue rinse brigade and part them of their hard earned savings. IMO Pensions have always been a bit of a scam - what you save in tax to start with ends up being charged at the end - and it has been your risk in the meantime! My investments are mainly in ISAs with a few non-contributory company pension schemes lying around. Alternatively, go work for a bank or pension company - I know people who've retired at 50 by doing this!
