Write up in Shares Magazine this weekend. Doesn't really tell us anything that hasn't been posted here in response to Hassan Sadiqs departure, but the magazine does rate TIG as a speculative buy @ 12.5p stating that a take-over or restructuring could return momentum.
I hate it when that happens Riddler. I bought into this after it was first brought to my attention by your good self. And when it does take off, you're not with us. Oh well. Good luck elsewhere.
You're very quiet . . . hope you have'nt missed this one.
Yes, I'm still sitting tight, thanks.
We are all in this to make money aren't we ? If someone thinks this is a good buy, he should be able to come on here and share his/her thoughts. Likewise if the opposite opinion is held by another poster, please, post your thoughts too. But one post should suffice in order to get your point of view across , , and this can be done without resorting to a character assassination of someone you don't agree with. I don't want to come on here and read 30 messages each day of investors squabbling. C'mon people, have a thought. I'm not invested in these at the moment, but I do like to read board comments as part of my research before I part with my hard earned money, and you're all putting me off. Thanks for listening.
You say "they are going to achieve a profit of £1.7million", but did younot read in Vyke half year report that this has been revised. It said "The results for full year to 31 December 2009 will be below the guidance the Company previously gave to the market on 19 March 2009 and the Board expects the Company will be loss making for the full year."
Yes I agree . . thanks. However, doing my own research also incorporates brokers views. To a minor extent admittedly, but . . . I was just wondering.
Thanks for the feedback. Still watching at the moment. Put off a little by the spread. 35-40 ! Also there's only 29m shares in issue . . . . any idea how much they want to buy back ?
"Crop productivity specialist Plant Impact has triggered the first regulatory milestone payment from Arysta LifeScience following the submission of two applications to the US Environmental Protection Agency for USA registration of its BugOil product" Very small volumes at present, but notice that no one is selling. On Friday I noticed that one stockbroker was covering PIM and issuing a "strong buy" recommendation. Whoever that was seems to have now disappeared. Can anyone throw any light on this ? .
PVCS tipped by www.digitallook.com on Saturday "It’s rare for a growth stock to also be a value stock so my eye was caught by PV Crystalox Solar, the maker of silicon wafers that are used in solar panels, which scores close to five out of five on Digital Look’s Star Rating system for both Value and Growth"
I've had a tip about this company . . . In the course of my research I see the name GedW on this board and my interest is raised to a new level. Do you think now is a good time to get in ? There doesn't seem to be a lot going on, but I guess this is one you just tuck away and one day it'll spike to a ridiculous level. Am I right ?
WTF's going on here ?
contact win on Friday. Have been tempted a couple of times to take profits here, but the good news continues to flow. Think I'll sit tight.
Riddler, you are indeed a gentleman. I'll try to put this information to good use, and maybe get your take on one or two examples in the near future if I might be so bold. Do I take it that I look for completely the opposite when looking for sell indicators ?
Firstly, apologies to TIG investors for this "private" tuition, but there may be others trying to get to grips with charts too. I understand Bollinger lines to be basically two lines on a graph, an upper and a lower, between which a share prices moving average indicator can be added. If these lines are narrow, then this signifies apathy, or a share creating little interest, whereas if they are wider then the share has shown greater volatility. The direction of the lines give a "trend" as to where the price has been moving, but how to calculate buying/selling opportunities is at the moment beyond me.
Thanks v much for the info. I still haven't got much of a clue about charts. I've been sitting here all evening trying to make sense of them . . reading through your "technicals" column in general chat, looking at various examples and googling certain keywords for alternative interpretations. I must congratulate you on creating an excellent research tool and I can say it's easily the best explanation I've found. However, I may be thick but. it's just not happening for me at the moment. I understand the posts you've made on here about TIG though, so my evening hasn't been completely wasted. Appreciate the help. All the best.
C'mon then titanic. I've yet to see a post giving details of why you think this is about to hit the heights !
Thanks for your thoughts. That's where you chartists appear to have the upper hand over me. I'm trying to learn from your technical analysis, but it'll take time. I bought @ 9.63 and still like this one. I'm a long termer, so looking at it as though a dip toward my buy price represents good value and a note to myself to consider topping up. All the best.
