Yes no real incentive with new isa damp squib in my opinion sold a chunk today partly cos i needed cash and partly cos I went to bank office first time in ages and could not believe the crap service and knowledge of the few staff who now wonder around with little laptops just to know the products customers are enquiring about,....!!!!!!!!!!
I think it could be a good budget for bank shares, if punters are going to invest in a new type of uk isa then presumably mr hunt has a plan to give incentive to people to invest in this way probably with one eye on selling off his nat west shares...but if it benefits one uk bank it has to benefit all thing we wll see 50p next week
Can someone give a simple answer to why this share was about £5 25yrs ago and is now 43p when it’s making more money than ever....well during the banking crisis the number of shares were at least doubled with the govt bailout hence now the buybacks and cancellation so in theory in three years with buybacks the price should be back to pre crisis prices but then of course businesses and profits change due to other reasons...but given that banks are cutting costs on staff offices and holding cash then they should really be in a better position when the number of shares is reduced
