Oil & gas exploration shares are not for widows and orphans. People who invest in speculative ventures should understand the risks. Today's news is merely a reminder of the problems that finding (and then extracting) such resources can present. The rewards can be spectacular, but that's a consequence of the propensity for things to go wrong. Caveat emptor!
LH only you can make this decision. However, given the significance of today's news, to close at a 12% premium to yesterday is, imo, ridiculous. I will be increasing my investment first thing tomorrow.
CEG are a cash strapped company which had the looming threat of litigation getting ever larger. This deal has acquired new assets in an area PRD knows well, at a sensible price, while removing the need for potentially costly and time consuming litigation . Well done all!
