aviva has become much more tightly focused.

the investment question is whether or
not they are focusing on the right things?

(M&A is all very well, but aviva’s previous history shows pretty clearly
that M&A just for the sake of it does not give shareholder returns if
it is poorly targeted in some scattergun manner with few synergies.)

AZN does take some fairly chunky bets, but that’s what partly what gives
the growth sizzle here … pascal is not over-cautious, & enough of those
bets have been paying off. still of interest, longer term, did they overpay
for alexion or not? — kicked out my 5% trading slice again this morning,
but otherwise a happy holder for the other 95%. one day we will lose
pascal and i suppose that the s/p would probably take a little hit when
that happens, but pascal won’t be taking that lovely pipeline with him.

no need at all for a split imv given recent trading volumes, liquidity
etc. maybe they should revisit that circa £20 (?- 3.5 years or so?)

probably only a small effect in grand scheme of things, but end of UK
tax year may mean some folks have capital gains related trades to do?

(barclays downgrade not a plus for aviva today either?)

more can-kicking nonsense to lure in yet more money
from the gullible &/or desperate, trying to give himself an
extra 3 months to play the game again. (& when end june
looms, there’ll just be another delay, sure as eggs is eggs.)

there is not a snowball’s chance in hell imv that CTAG
has anything worth selling or licensing to anyone real.

the special dividend B shares & consolidation, in relation
to spread-bet positions in aviva. ho-hum, no rush lads…

the court case is neither here nor there,
CPR shows ADME has nowt worthwhile.

even if the court case is won by ADME, ‘prospective resources’ are not
even remotely close to being reserves. ADME has made **no discoveries
of ANY sort at barracuda **, let alone demonstrated anything about the
technical feasibility of any recovery, & costs. barracuda is just a spoof.

- not a hope in hell that any “proper funding source” is going to
stump up to throw money down a muddy hole in that swamp. jmho.

dan, re your 10:06, ADME does NOT have any *reserves* at all
at barracuda. *prospective resources* are very, very different.

(i am guessing that you do already know that, and your post was
simply a kind of typo? - but it would be unfortunate if someone was
inadvertently misled into thinking ADME had any reserves there.)
