Without sounding disrespectful, please research, as the local council is very pertinent given it will end up back on their hands after appeal. Please don’t troll posters for sharing factual information. Without being arrogant I deal with this daily and am only sharing what I know. Not saying I’m correct, just sharing opinion based on my extensive knowledge and experience in my own business.
But you clearly don’t have the experience or knowledge (again no disrespect intended) as if you did you wouldn’t not grasp the importance and eventual relevance of the local council

We are all here for the same reason. Sharing of knowledge and learning. I learn a from others, but do take offence to being accused of “trolling” when you see some posts on these boards and no disrespect you probably need to look closer to home with your own posts on here and twitter.

Within sounding naive but I assume at some point in the not too distant future the shorts are going to have to start closing, given likely bond issue within 8 weeks. Surely you wouldn’t want to be holding a short come end of August?

Gkb47. In my experience it’s not an update as most think.
Every determination that goes to the inspectorate will have had a) a heavy input at local level and will b) end up back at local level after the appeal. Hence the local committee level officers will always be kept abreast of the situation.
You’ll also find the inspectorate has issued a programme (see the actual appeal online), which is now approaching further documents to be submitted (again hence the update to officers)

The local officers and committee members will not be up to speed as maybe the chair will, (as they will be determining other applications in the meantime so simply don’t have time)so at various intervals the chair will update the
Members as to the current state of play and actions needs approaching the hearing (if any).

Once approved (if approved), it will come back to
Local committee level to push through final approvals - hence they always need “updating”

It doesn’t just go to the planning inspectorate (appeal officer) gets approved and that it. Once appeal is won, it’s back to local committee to facilitate the works and progress any “conditions” imposed by the inspectorate

This is all easily available on line if people look and research.

People are also getting hung up on costs as leverage to the local authority. On the basis of knowledge sharing there is only a very limited cost you can recover. Suggest reading the following document
