Hi Freddie. Apps for the delay in answering. Without exception the bean counters always understate the POG in the figs. In reality it should be priced at the twice daily (bent as hell) PM AM London fix. Or left as X in the account for spread sheet changes. The COMEX and LBMA are there to facilitate a hedging service for gold miners to set their pricing and allow for the fluctuations to give a future profit/loss margin. Unfortunately the bullion banks have totally ruined that service by controlling the price as opposed to supply and demand metrics.
So to answer your question the fig should be X as no one knows (except JPM). ATB Speedy

Hi All. The brain dead at the BoE along with the ECB and the Fed have all colluded to raise rates by 0.5%. This is supposedly to bring inflation under control. They also say the rise is only 0,5% as opposed to a higher increase to protect the economy. The central banks caused this mess and want inflation to dilute away the massive debt pile. It is not only JPM that is bent. Should have let the lot crash and burn in 08. All that is being done now is to delay the inevitable as long as possible.
We need a sound money means of storing wealth and a predictable and stable exchange of money for goods and services.
You only have to look at the FX market and the volatility between currencies (including gold) to understand how stupid the current system is. ATB Speedy

Hi Culpepper. You are correct the official DTM will be a one off game changer , but a rising POG (as we near production) and after production will have an accumulative effect not only on profit margins but also on economically viable recoverable ozs. ATB Speedy

Hi Melville. The forseeable future bodes very well for GGP. As the POG climbs the profit potential for GGP climbs even faster. As production nears the SP will be closer linked to the rising POG and with that the lower grade ore becomes very profitable and therefore recoverable. Anyone care to predict how big the recoverable ozs will be with gold at $3k/oz? I know what i think and it is big, very big. The 7s will be a far distant memory. ATB Speedy

Hi Notajarforglue. 3 years ago i suggested buying gold brits @ circa $1250/oz, today a Brit will cost you circa $1800. I suggested inflation will sweep in causing mayhem, today it is at 10%. Approx a year ago i said POG going to $1900 and then retracing (did not expect it to fall to $1620 and did not expect it to take so long to bounce back) A while ago i said POG going to $2300 in the new year and it looks to be on track. Must admit to being wrong about the $ being toast (at the moment anyway).
How do you see the game playing out in the future or are you just an observer? Speedy

Hi MrEMC2. I think there is a massive battle going on between the paper market and physical buyers. The paper boys seem to want it below $1800. I expect these swings to get more violent as the paper market looses its influence and they are overwhelmed with physical purchases. May as well earn a few bob on the way up to $2k/oz. ATB Speedy

Hi Culpepper. If you think JPM are not a threat to all PIs then take a look at their actions regarding SXX, or take a look at their actions regarding the PMs space. The list of their legal and illegal actions affecting PIs in a bad way is of the scale. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The emphasis always seems to lean towards the amount of gold at hav, do not forget the CU. Price for CU seems to be creeping slowly but surely up with physical stocks down from 40kton to 10k in a few years. Shame there is no silver at hav. ATB Speedy
