Hi All. Looking at Bamps calculations we have approx $5billion value in ore. It would be interesting to see an experts view on calculating an SP for GGP based on those figs (not allowing for any future finds) so just on Hav alone. Anyone care to put their heads over the parapet? ATB Speedy

Hi Retroz. I strongly suggest you do not get involved with trading with leverage via CFDs or spread betting, the losses can be horrendous and nearly all PIs loose money.
I see the $30 swings continuing until the powers that be raise their levels of defence up to $1850/60 or maybe $1900/oz then the swings will probably enlarge to $50/oz each way. When the POG rises $30/oz i sell my stake and when it falls $30 i buy back in and wait for the next rise. The amount you trade is dependant on your risk appetite but never risk more than you can afford to lose. I trade using HL stocks and share ISAs and one of the gold ETFs available. I do this only for fun and a little profit, my main interest is in gold Britts and a fairly large allocation in GGP. ATB Speedy

Hi All. About a week or so ago i mentioned the $30 swings in the POG and what a great trading opportunity it presented. Since then we have had about 6 swings and today has been no different. With the powers that be trying to keep it below $1800 and physical buying driving it back up. I see no reason for the swings not to continue for some time with a higher high and a higher low each swing. Happy trading and a happy new year to all. ATB Speedy

Hi Culpepper. For warned is for armed and i think it is important to alert folks to the possibilities of "market forces". If my theory is wrong then no problem but i am not here to scare anyone. It seems to me there is a general consensus that a TO/buy out offer is on its way, It would be interesting to find out,if it comes, what SD would call an acceptable offer. He better than most knows what Hav contains. For the record i would vote against any offer until we all know whats in the ground. ATB Speedy
