How? He has written 200000 or 200k shares at 1.85. Therefore I make it £3,700 unless he meant 2M whereby he missed a 0 and hence credibility comes into question on the information provided.

After the rise the last 32 trades are all sales. IT ill means absolutely nothing like the 200k trades - just that at this level some find it attractive to get out. They donot know anything - it does not mean a deal is more or less likely - It is irrelevant. The only relevant information will be the datapoints from the company such as last Friday.

Not necessary at all but these people who right with certainty of knowledge when there is none need this drilled into their heads in my view. However I take your point - it is not necessary.

First of all a "Runner" is not the right terminology. You have no idea why they left, just hoping it was because there was a major problem. You write like the dreamers here who think the stock is going to 6p on the back of this news. The major might have walked because they didnot get the % of revenues that they were hoping for on a successful drill or for many other reasons. Nothing was stipulated therefore you are also unfortunately an amateur and probably bigger than anyone here who just loses money on investing.

Like any other major deal between different companies the condition might not be right for one suitor but another one might find it very attractive. Your lack of knowledge and guesswork implies that you should not invest in stocks and go back to Finance1 courses before you lose your shirt on your back. GL

There is no guarantee that there will be a deal and this stock can go to 0 - but there is also a chance that they will reach a farm-in agreement and the chances of that happening is now greater following the license extension. We know that and we punt with the money we can afford and the risk reward of 0 or 20 bagger justifies it for some of us - You on the other hand talk with the certainty that they will fail they way the other amateurs talk with the certainty that we are rallying up no matter what. NO ONE KNOWS. This is why it is called SPECULAtiVE investing.

This si a good post - what has changes is that BG is now obviously not opposed to a drilling which can have the effect to nudge an undecided major forward.

That is correct - no one knows why the major left but to say he walked away is not correct. There is every reason that they might not want the deal but another major might step in.

Also - de-rampers are irrelevant to stock movement - it is just in your head. Please donot write like amateurs - derampers donot set stock prices - fundamentals and data-points do.

First good post all day. Spot on - do your research and remember people here have no additional information over the totality of the market which sets the price. These calls of going to 6p, 10% a day, start of a rally are just pipe dreams - stocks move on fundamentals and data points - not amateurs wishes on a bulletin board.

Only this news - a farm in will move the stock to double digits but without the news nothing. Hopefully we will hear a confirmation of a deal within a quarter - otherwise we are drifting all the way back.

Only went from 2 to 6 because of the exclusivity agreement. De-rampers are irrelevant and MMs are irrelevant - stocks only move on fundamentals if they are to reach and maintain trading ranges. No it is not only the start. People like him push the stock up. We need further data points to move up. Please donot act like an amateur.

No - There will be no return to 6p on this news. That level is only achievable on a farm in deal. The upside is now only due to supply and demand until further datapoints. Therefore the unfortunate souls liek the one who bought the stock today by selling all of his Vodafone shares will develop a demand eschew which makes the shares jump and then the shares moves back until it finds its equilibrium and will trade around those levels (1.7-2.1) pending further datapoints and news.

Obviously if these is farm in news then they will no longer be unfortunate but unless a deal in announced or until then these talks of 6p or 10% a day are the usual amateur dreamers. On positive news illiquid stocks such as this always overshoot and then come back to find their equilibrium. Therefore instead of just pipe dreams please concentrate on the development required to make this stock to go to double figures - and that is a farm in deal.

We have 3 months before we start again drifting all the way back - Thae market and larger holders expect to thear that news within a quarter of license extensions.

I will be surprised to see competitive bidding but with the uncertainty removed I expect to hear the confirmation of a deal within 3 months. Any longer and it will begin to imply that there is a hidden problem. Hopefully we will not get to that stage. Announce a farm in partner and double digits share price is guaranteed. That will provide a profitable exit for many or hold on and find oil and then ........ HELLO!

There are no excuses here - just that the government believes that BPC is a realistic operator to attract a farm-in partner to benefit the people of Bahamas. These projects take years and a decade is not too long - unless of course you are an amateur and think that if you buy a stock you will get a 20 bagger in a month!!

1) BPC is going nowhere and is here to stay
2) Government license extension implies that they believe that BPC is a realistic operator to attract a farm-in partner
3) Uncertainty over investment horizon removed.
