Well if worried about the budget, not long left to bugger off, YU has held up really well under PI drip selling. Could be explosive if the budget isn’t as bad as people think. Energy prices are still rising and the cold spell hasn’t started yet.

Feb to March 24 it was normalising , a lot has happened since then hasn’t it DD. It called global politics, war, inflation, interest rates and many other factors.

Funny how now all the articles are predicting the complete opposite isn’t it

I thought Bk was doing a placing @£17 been waiting for that gem for over 6 months as predicted by someone. Also pre Covid energy prices, seem to be the complete opposite and caught everyone out expect those who actually watch world events unfold.

What ever people say it is all speculation and personal opinions as no one actually knows, energy prices an example but some people belive they will normalise , I say different and they will get far more costly

1. Green agenda

2. Ukraine

3. Middle East

4. Far east demand

5. Winter is on us and the demand spikes for two months

I could go on and on but the fact of the matter is upside risk far outweighs downside and I for one would not be surprised to see a TU pre Xmas.

And your point is ? No one is selling actually the SP is showing great strength with continued falls in the markets ahead of the budget and US election.

I won’t talk about the doubling of gas since March low as irrelevant in your eyes but relevant when it suits ie falling

I am very much looking forward to 2025 going to be tremendous with hopefully a main listing high on the agenda

In my opinion the full effects of the current energy prices will not be fully realised until 2025 but we should get a good lift for H2 2024, depends on new contracts signed or renewed at the higher price. Not long left now actually in 2024

The budget would have a material effect on energy prices especially if the windfall tax is true and North Sea oil companies reduce down significantly. Also reason a lot about the costs involved in the green energy drive which is something this country can currently cannot afford IMHO

Funny how early 2024 it was all about normalisation of energy prices with the Q1 decline now it’s years before normalisation

No one expected Middle East to escalate to this level.

No thought labour was so dumb with regards to green energy plans and Windfall tax proposed

Not difficult forecast change and if the Middle East spirals you ain’t seen nothing yet on energy prices

Said it for months now YU have no alternative but to list on the main market, BK complains a lot but will not act on it. With the current labour gov he will not see the valuation YU should be on until they push forward on this. A blind man can see it and if IHT hit for AIM there is no incentive to stay on AIM.

What a mess this government have created , at least YU is a strong profitable company with lots of cash , the rest of the dung are in real trouble if the 30th Nov is anti business

The 39% CGT is a red herring , Starmer has has said as much. With a CGT of that level no one will invest in the UK simple as that when France has 20% as an example USA is around that level as well.

If labour want to cripple the square mile crack on bit that will be UK dead in the water, investment will totally dry up and any gains they hoped for will turn into losses from 2025 onwards

Great question,

1. YU have stated they want 7% market share in 3-5 years that is around 3.5b turnover, they are obviously being supported in this by Shell, if you want my personal opinion Shell will take out the energy business at that point as it becomes to big for YU BOD to handle but retain the smart metering side.

2. The Share price does not reflect the business we are on a PE of 8 rivals like GOOD and TEP are 17-21 yet we are the fastest growing in the sector and the only one to grow revenue so far this year. The market has got it very wrong IMHO

3. So the question is at what price would BK agree to sell the business which is highly profitable and generating huge amounts of cash. Currently not a hope in hell at this SP, double maybe but not at this level

Just my opinion but I reckon once a certain turnover is reached Shell with take YU out along with the smart meters business
