Hi Ogggs,
Personally, I’m more interested in how many AFC generators are needed by Speedy based on their nationwide customers. It’ll take a little while to ramp up as old diesel generators don’t get replaced and the cost of AFCs units are on a cost par with diesel gensets. That will happen more quickly though as construction companies demand cleaner tech. H2 costs will inevitably reduce as production ramps. Of course once AFCs ammonia cracker comes online (we’re apparently a year ahead of schedule) then the convenience factor and reduced H2 costs will bring about even more demand for AFCs. Fuel cells. My opinion of course as I’m invested in AFC not Speedy.
This is not going to happen overnight of course. The diesel generators will run their course until they have to be replaced. Some customers will want AFC units asap because of restrictions placed by councils/government or their own desire to clean up their act. Demand for AFC units should be strong imho but steadily increasing over time.
Not to mention cost of servicing during its lifetime.
Hi there - recently bought some of these and they were doing well for a few weeks but dropped the past few days - any thoughts? Cheers
Lots of information in that article.
As predictable as you being the person to say there’s no news.
There’s no news, YET.
They’ve got years of form of releasing timely news when they need to.
Garonne- usual drivel from yourself. Yes, no news, I think we could all work that out for ourselves. AFC will undoubtedly release their news when they want to, and not pander to your incessant whining.
Then what are you doing on this board then Git ? Week in week out spouting negativity for years on end. How could you possibly be invested here when you don’t believe in the products or the management. Do you think in excess of 120 employees would be sticking around without confidence that they’re creating a ground breaking company that will surely disrupt the current fossil based economy?
Don’t you think developing green and clean technology will benefit our planet and the people who inhabit it? Even if we save one life from particulate disease them AFC will have an impact. The technology has the potential to impact millions of lives across the world! Wake up man, we need this technology and other tech like it. Yes, the wait is frustrating but the hydrogen economy is building very quickly whether that’s clean hydrogen production, hydrogen/ammonia transport and clean energy production from that hydrogen. Exciting times and yes, we’d all like to see happen tomorrow but this is a huge shift to make and it’s happening!
“Deeper into January 2024” …. It’s the start of the second week of January! Do you really think they’d have been preparing news last week? It was as a short week last week and half the staff were probably still off with their families before schools start back this week.
I was very reassured after seeing the early pic of the 30kw unit just before Christmas. All is well in my opinion. AFC continue to recruit staff. So less of the drama queen statements of doom please, and look at the evidence around you.
Thetruthgb- your English has changed dramatically- did the right person log on to your account this morning?
£27 million!
Read and listen!
Thetruthgb- ‘ride it out now’ suggests you’ve given up on the tech when so many respected companies across the world are saying how brilliant the tech is, in the form of JVs and individual field testing. If everything was as bad as you incessantly make out do you conceivably think those JVs would have been signed ?
Your gripe is with Adam Bond. You actually sound like a disgruntled ex-employee and have felt the need to change your name on here multiple times over those 13 years.
If, as you state, you’re going to ‘let them ride’, that would suggest you just forget about them and not talk the company down day in day out! Oh, and if the worst ever did happen with the company, how can you sue a company that doesn’t exist?
Have a peaceful day enjoying what news we might next receive from AFC.
1863 - well you can just bore off with your Prosecco and budgie smugglers and defend yourself on another board.
Stockcheque has, like others, summed up the potential upcoming news. Ciao !
On top of the fantastic news we’ve received recently, there’s potentially a lot more we could hear about before end of Q4…
1) Announcement of an ammonia cracker parter in conjunction with the set of of the test facility
2) European hire partner announcement
3) delivery of high power units to ABB, Acciona with validation results
4) Confirmation of the Speedy JV
5) Delivery of initial units to Speedy. Plus additional orders of the high power generators if validation confirmed
6) potential announcement of an order into TAMGO
Let’s face it, I doubt that TAMGO would have proceeded if there was any doubt about the higher power generators. They’d look a bit silly just marketing a 10kw unit across all those countries?
Very exciting few weeks ahead folks 😊
Absolutely brilliant to see some really positive news over the past few weeks. We’re now seeing the building blocks put in place to become truly commercial. It’s been a very long and bumpy road and I’m sure we’ll see some more bumpy periods to come but yesterday’s news was really significant in my view. TAMGO will be the equivalent of the Speedy joint venture but on a vast scale, offering PR, customer services and maintenance arrangements. If we see a manufacturing agreement coming out of this also then the opportunities for AFC could be enormous- not a ramp, fact!
We’ve seen UK Gov providing financial support along with the Speedy Hire JV and let’s not forget the news we’re awaiting for the high power cells. Then of course, as highlighted by Bond yesterday, we have the ammonia cracker development as a separate business arm which, again could be a game changer for AFC.
Yea, we’ve all been incredibly patient to this point but these recent developments are very significant in my opinion. Good luck all.
BumbleB3 - the number of times I’ve seen you having to explain it to that idiot is incredible. Either he is so thick it doesn’t enter his pathetic head or he has a set agenda to try and distort the real facts. I have filtered the snivelling little tick for years so thankfully can’t see his pathetic stupidity. Sad that he can spend so much time on this site regurgitating his bile.
Brightfuture - great post and a useful analogy. The potential for what you have written is all there. Speedy have a reputation to hold and clearly want reliable products that will work day in day out or can be serviced rapidly when required. For Speedy to enter into a JV with AFC (regardless of the ABB units about to be delivered), speaks volumes about AFCs Power Towers and the potential revenues they will bring to Speedy.
Afoutleafclover- he was already in Netherlands, working remotely for AFC. Shame he’s going but he’s going to a more senior role and in his home country. It happens. Good luck to him.
