AZN and the rest of the sector occupy an unusual position in the market place. If you are undergoing cancer therapy, how likely are you to stop receiving that treatment, or to have that treatment stopped by either state or private health provider, due to. a market crash? Would the state or private health providers withdraw support for sufferers in the event of a downturn? Obviously it is possible but I feel most would dig deep into their pockets to ride out the storm.

Agreed...wholeheartedly. Some comments have the potential to bring this website into disrepute.
At risk of sounding as if I'm pontificating, I'm in for the long term. If I lose money then I see it as supporting research into brain cancer in children (MTX110). If the shares rise, presumably the research will have been fruitful and I'm in profit to boot. I usually dislike the notion of ethical investing but make an exception with MTPH. Major has his own agenda and needs to find his feet. Let him do so, he's harmless enough.
Thank you for your explanation. I should say that I didn't realise the seeming oddity of inference from a declining margin. I should also say - rather please see this as a request - don't apologise for putting hints that help the small investor try to understand the jargon of a company's balance sheet et al. I enjoy the various contributions that. you and several others provide.
I echo Terrace's comment, and would include Terrace in the list too.
Hello Sain, I'm surprised the Brookman's Park site has not sold quickly. I presume this is due to the surrounding area being suburban with large houses, and fine gardens to the front and rear, while the Telford offering is of flats: suitable for East London, less so for Hertfordshire.
What you write is well considered and appropriate insofar as trading with the Eu goes. The point of dispute is surely whether we should have to apply EU rules to trade between companies that trade solely within the UK. Given that this is the most substantial volume by any measure, the withdrawal from the EU will free and liberate these companies from unwonted interference and any consequent exasperation.
Steph, I shouldn't worry too much about the chlorinated chicken issue in free trade agreements. The water you may drink with it is chlorinated and has been for years, as is the salad that accompanies it. For some reason chlorinated chicken sounds ghastly.
Interesting discussion there to which I'm happy to be priivy. I should say the only other time I've come across cove in the sense of a chap is in PG Wodehouse wondrous works.
