Market Capitalisation is the share price multiplied by the numbers of issued shares, which is relevant to value a company.
Asset values are also relevant to making investment decisions, in deciding a company's value.
For example: A small cap company worth £1m wins a £5m contract, would have a dramatic effect on the share price, than a £5m company wins a £1m contract.
Dollar cost averaging is the best way to invest in volatile companies (if you're planning on staying the course).
I've set a threshold of the last placement price, and have bought multiple times of the same amount, each time at a lower price. This strategy over time will build a larger holding not too far from the bottom price.
If circumstances change or no longer want to stay invested, the potential losses are smaller, when selling at the bottom.
