Many are investing here because of the Divis and that was the catalyst that moved the sp from the doldrums before any 802 news. Now that Divis are quarterly, it’s a nice chunk of cash come end of June.

Market still very strong with 575k @ 6.31p but a silly spread.

Orf to enjoy the lovely May sunshine, hoping the move north continues into the close ;)

Bid has strengthened considerably in price and volume. 6.22 up to 375k, 6.13 to 900k. Looks like we may go on a little into the BH weekend but will we see a sell off tomorrow pm ?

FF, indeed they have but it’s all about management and timing ;)

Maybe they’re holding out as long as poss to facilitate a divi payment 30 days after record date and looking to pay on 30/6 ? all about cash flow .

Finals results over the last 10 years pre Covid, lots of releases in May as in 19 and 18, both in May. Important they stick to timelines, especially for divi.

Kheldar, yep, too high for a BnIsa, too many coffees tonight. Rollover ? if so a very cheap transaction cost at £207 or 4.5%.

Weird old trading going on. The 900ks look like a BednIsa transaction but could’ve been a very cheap rollover ? I suspect the former.

Nice to see a few buys continuing. Only small volumes but bid strengthened for the first time for a while and can sell 650k, but 200k so next move looks up and tick up coming. Maybe peeps are going to buy the news rather than sell it but good to see sp holding up at this level.

My comment re A7 was sarcastic ! as we know eff all about anything at this juncture as we’re all pi**ing in the dark due to their radio silence at a time we should’ve been enjoying regular news flow. Heyho, won’t be long to find out the real situation on the ground and let’s hope we’ve not got Carverspeak to translate.

The Nov deep update

‘Deep Wells

The Company remains encouraged by the strong oil shows from Deep Well 802. Following an extensive cementing exercise we are now preparing to drill a side-track from a depth of 2,416 meters to a depth of 3,900 meters to target the first interval of interest from which the oil encountered to date has flowed. If successful and based on current timings we expect to test the well before the end of the year.

Once the rig in use at Deep Well 802 becomes available it will be used at Deep Well A5 to seek to remove the remaining stuck pipe and then to drill a side-track from a depth of 3,970 meters targeting the oil-bearing interval at a depth of 4,335 which previously produced at the rate of in excess of 1,000 barrels of oil per day (' bopd')..

Work is also planned to resume drilling at Deep Well A7 from a depth of 2,175 meters as rigs and crews become available.

Work using horizontal drilling which has proved successful at several of the MJF shallow wells is planned for the New Year at existing Deep Wells A6 and 801 at a depth of approximately 4,400 meters.’

A7 spud ? it had reached 2167m before pausing, from last Nov RNS as detailed below. Bought the rig in Feb and would be well through it ?

They were also planning g to drill A6 and 801 using the horizontal strategy used at MJF.

All speculation, time to see the colour of the funny money.

Re drilling 802 to 5200m ? as stated, I hope you’re right but not long to find out !

Drilling 803, why do it ? got to be a positive but anything is possible with Casper. They have to be subbing it as don’t have loads of cash, especially when you estimate current profitability taking into account divi liabilities.

Looking forward to having a good read of FY accounts and hopefully it’s been worth the wait .

AI is a massive subject and a great one for debate, probably not for the Caspian BB.

The greedy corporates are driving the agenda and governments need to get a handle on it and regulation essential as the negative consequences are there to see. Even with my involvement with RPA, it’s changing how offices work and the immediate consequence is employee redundancy. It is absolutely critical that we control the deployment of AI before it’s too late or as you say, Jack is out of the box !!

Interesting article on AI and the efficiencies that could be achieved in the future. Now that I have a little more time on my hands, I am fascinated by this subject and my previous business was involved with it be delivering efficiencies in the the workspace. It will revolutionise industries but as per all the news there has to be regulation. Large tech companies competing with each other with little concern for the carnage that could be caused by not managing it effectively.

As per the link, Shell and other large corporates will continue to utilise and develop it. Who knows, maybe our Casper will be be benefitting by partnering with Baker Hughes, Schlumberger etc who will be able to interpret seismic more effectively and make sense of the BNG geology.

I’m disappointed that news not released today but hey, I shouldn’t be as this is Caspian ! It is the anniversary of Roxi IPO and if was Chairman, I would’ve made a thing of it in my highlight intro to FY accounts eg ‘ after 16 long years, we’re overjoyed to announce our first deep well success and looking forward to building shareholder value by delivering continued success on our world class BNG asset ‘ or words to that effect. Follow that up with the highlights and exciting operational schedule and things go potty.

Not saying that it’s negative that they haven’t released news as they do what they want, when they want and PIs only own c 15% of the free float so not important.

I suspect they were rollovers as 2m + trades and 95% buys would’ve moved the market substantially.

Good to see that there want a sell off pre news and now in the lap of the Caspian leadership to satisfy investors.

Also good to see price holding up above 6p so hopefully minimal downside on an ugly update, maybe 15% max but bags on the upside on the really positive outcome. All I want to see as a minimum is MJF still producing at 2300-2400 bopd minimum, 802 still alive, communicated operational schedule to continue and snd Divis to be paid. That’ll move the sp on again.

If 802 is commercial and they’ve grown shallow production then Divis will definitely get paid and the sp jumps up double figures on the way to the teens, that’s why we’re all here.

News Monday ? I’ll be disappointed if we don’t see it on the anniversary and kicking the week off with excitement :)
