The oneoption is China, if they can get a site near a existing gigafactory and if the battery supplier will provide them with batteries. Another option is Poland and Germany, although the Germans are in a dire situation too.

The key point about a PEA and DFS/BFS is that it is independently audited by a qualified person . Without it you will not pass Due Diligence and not get funding .

If and as there is a new plan, it needs a new PEA at the very least. It's remarkable that the management claims that if is at the funding stage without any feasible study whatsoever.

In acid 56*,20*.26*1= 2912 tpa

In stack: 56*.80*.26*.65= 7571 tpa

Assuming the requirement is to consume the stacks over 30 years it would require double this rate to use up the 30 years previous production and keep up with the new.

So, 2x 7571= 15142 tons per annum of NdPr from the stacks

2912 tpa from the acid stream.

18,054 tpa of NdPr Metal per annum from four sites is the potential max.

Steady state after 30 years is 7571+2912 tpa.

All assuming no new plants are built etc.

This company is a specialist battery manufacturer, not just automotive. Their sodium-ion batteries are used in stationary power storage and are potentially more important than the lithium ion.

For export purposes UK manufacture is a requirement, not a choice. GIven the choice, no battery or one from a few hours away, what's a UK manufacturer going to do?

Close their factory and build another abroad, next to a Chinese battery plant?
