The car industry is a thousand miles away from the battery plants. They are mainly in Poland.

The battery plants determine the location of car plants.

Unless the battery plants are built in the UK the car industry will cease to exist, in the UK.

amte have the only uk battery factory, no other company has any experience whatsoever. amte unique skill is building batteries and they have being doing longer than the likes of lg and catl. the world's knowledge making large lithium car batteries is no more than a few years.

once the world's gigafactorys are in operation the automotive industries will locate nearby. the uk industry will be ****ed without local battery manufacturer due rules of origin and the tariff. the first deadline is fast approaching.

I did some back calculations on the 20% opex cost. Current electricity cost in SA is $0.074/kwhr.

10mw*24*365 gives a figure of $20/kg cost metal oxide equivalent for the MRES (RE sulphate).
