The core Ted Baker market is mate-seeking males and young family men in office jobs between 25 and 45 years of age. That is a relatively well-informed segment and most will be aware of this hoo-hah. They will not want to wear a name on their chest or bag which is associated with creepy old dudes. Ted Baker has become Albert Steptoe!

I walked past a Ted Baker store at an airport this morning. It was completely empty.

Rightly or wrongly, the Ted Baker popular brand perception has shifted dramatically overnight, from "hip young London thing" to "dirty old man".

This looks like a Ratner's moment.

The ridiculous valuation at launch... The eye-watering cash-burn... The hyperbolic use of "run-rate" to make revenues look bigger... The lack of clarity on costs and spending... The inevitable placing in a few months... This has got red flags all over it.

Lol. They are burning through £2-3 million a month and had a £47m valuation at launch on <£1m of revenue. The only folk getting rich here are the owners ;-)

As predicted, a lot of folks got caught on the spike here today. One investor seems to have lost about ~£4k this afternoon! The rise, on a simple license renewal, was a classic social meeja pump-and-dump ;-)

As I predicted weeks ago, the vanadium bubble is peaking. China Vanadium Pentoxide pricing has fallen roughly -2% this month (Nov 2018). Combined with the ho-hum news coming out of BMN at the moment, the charts are pointing to a shareprice in the 30s in the coming weeks.

The California stuff is only bringing an extra £80k... Nowhere near enough to cover their cash-burn. All the other stuff being speculated about for California is years away. And British companies very rarely win in American onsite gambling -- just look at Las Vegas, it's all run by American firms.

This looks way, way overvalued for a company only making a tiny £80k annual profit and burning through £1-2m of cash every 12 months. Like GCM, loads of folks are gonna get stung here by the pump-and-dump crew ;-)

As predicted, it is almost back to the 10-15p range.

Good to see reality setting in here. This was massively pumped and dumped yesterday and this morning. Profits are years away and will be tiny. The charts are suggesting this will drift back to the 10-15p range in 2019.

Any serious revenues are years away... There will inevitably be placings and dilutions needed to dig up the goodies... The Chinese company is huge and has all the power in the relationship and will screw suppliers on price... Not to mention this is Bangladesh, one of the poorest countries and weakest currencies on Earth... Revenues will be nowhere near some of the ridiculous numbers quoted in this thread...

As posted yesterday, a rough calculation suggests GCM will struggle to make £10m profit at best, and not until well into the 2020s!

Some of the numbers here look a bit hubristic.

Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the world. Wholesale and retail electricity prices are tiny. Revenues will not be as big as many think.

A quick fag-packet calculation indicates GCM could be doing ~£100m (GBP) of annual revenue from this new coal deal in the 2020s.

Assuming a (coal industry average) 10% net margin, then you're looking at ~£10m net profit per year in the 2020s.

Using a conservative 10x PE ratio, then somwhere around £1 a share in 2020 looks like fair value here.

As predicted a few days ago -- don't expect a big bid here.

Their Heathrow slots are worth much less than many claim (or hope). Its IT systems are a mess and need a major overhaul. Its flight network is a mess and needs a major overhaul. Losses are growing by the day.

Virgin Atlantic is losing money, and two turkeys do not make an eagle.

BA won't make a reckless bid for a small domestic airline.

Very few other airlines are really interested, due to industry overcapacity.

Tickup coming. Volume picking up sharply.
