To be fair, the collapse of FLYB should not be a surprise to anyone. The writing has been on the wall for at least the past 1-2 years. Reckless takeover, reckless IT upgrades, spaghetti flight network. FLYB management have been a disaster.

Amazed anyone is still ramping or buying this one! FLYB is, essentially, bust. The options are 1p, or 0p.

As I predicted several weeks ago, when in the 20s, this is now heading down well into the 10s. Tunnel, funding, economic and political issues make this a bear share. Any close below 17p here will signal further bearishness to the 10-15p range.

Up +36% now. Market waking up to the Colombia sale.

Good 10p conversion. Current shareprice 6p.

We are witnessing today the end of the British retailing industry.

British brands are being crushed by foreign brands.

Investors need to think of DEB as the new British Leyland.

Management should just sell DEB to Ashley for 1p and let him strip it right back to the sustainable bones. That is the only way it has a longterm future.

Looks like the Bhukia decision is delayed until Feb or Mar.

If shareholders vote down the 1p offer, the alternative scenario is that FLYB goes bust...

FLYB is a "classic" provincial British company, trying to mix it with the big boys in London, where top management just don't have the skills to take it forward. Think RBS bank with wings!

The firm is losing £7000 a minute, following several years or reckless decisions on unusable IT systems, disconnected airport slots, and worthless airline takeovers. The problems go proper deep. That is why beardy Branson only wants to pay a penny. He knows his onions.

FLYB is a great example of the LSE echo chamber. A classic of the genre.

With the shareprice downtrend momentum, the suspicious lack of financial details in yesterday's RNS, the cloud of a possible placing hanging in the air, and the next set of financial results 2-3 months away, this could well drift down to the 5-10p range in the coming weeks.

It feels very much like the investors who were defending Debenhams 2-3 years ago...

ECP today on the edge of bankruptcy shows there is no profit in car parts. The shift to electric will shrink demand even further. No more oil, filters or timing belts in the stores. No more head-gasket repairs in the autocentres.

Bike purchases are shifting online and away from stores. The godawful Halfords website puts them at a major disadvantage to faster, cheaper and easier Amazon.

The UK is going post-retail.

These HFD results today are the canary in the coal mine.

Halfords is now falling into the same bucket as Argos, Debenhams, HoF, etc. High-cost, low-innovation giants lumbering toward the exit door.

Wish it were true, mate.

Amazon (from America) is destroying everybody online. British copycats are in freefall, like Argos and Asos.

Aldi and Lidl (from Germany) are destroying everybody offline. British copycats are relentlessly losing marketshare every year, like Tesco and Sainsbury's.

There is zero major innovation coming from British brands. Online and onphone innovation is coming from the Americans. Discounter innovation is coming from the Germans.

British retail brands are collapsing. Foreign brands are crushing everyone. We are living (right now) through the end of the British-led retail industry. A slowmotion car crash.

Investors are finally waking up to this new (and alarming) reality.

It is hard to see Halfords trending anywhere but down from here.

Amazon, eBay and Alibaba are much cheaper for bikes, polish, car gadgets, oil, parts, etc. and have a far bigger range.

Rival Eurocarparts is on the verge of bankruptcy and shows there is no long-term profit in vehicle spares, even for the biggest suppliers with the most scale.

The industry shift to electric cars, which use 50-80% less moving parts, means fewer and fewer grease monkeys will visit a Halfords in the coming years.

Add in their giant offline stores with giant costs, their appalling online website, their appallingly slow delivery for orders, and their often-surly customer service, and it is hard to see any positives whatsoever for Halfords.

Halfords is basically in the same mess as Debenhams.

Very surprised folks are still pumping this one!

The company RNS has given zero financial details -- a classic sign of trying to hide something...

The company is currently losing ~£6000 per year for every advertising screen they install. It suggests they are giving them away practically for free. This new deal could be for anywhere between 22 and 2000 panels, setting the company up for even bigger losses in 2019. Zero details in the RNS on pricing, revenue, costs, etc.

Wouldn't be a surprise to see a placing here in good order.

Ah, that explains why there are no financial numbers in today's RNS... So big, they couldn't squeeze all the numbers on one page ;-)

This company is now growing very fast, but the valuation still looks way too high. May do £2-6m revenue in 2019, but not enough to justify its current £20-30m marcap.
