Comparisons here with Amazon are absurd. The US is a rich, tech-friendly country with a supreme management class, giant investors happy to pour in trillions, and a biz-friendly govt. The UK is none of those things. It is impossible to build a British Amazon.

As predicted, a bit of a stampede for the exit. This share has plunged relentlessly for 9 months straight, and the bears remain in control for now. With UK online taxes set to rocket, UK consumer taxes out of control, and petrol / diesel (for delivery vehicles) headed for £2 a litre next year, it's hard to see much upside here at this point.

Be careful here, folks. This looks like window dressing and a panic measure. The underlying issues remain the same. A numbers-free investor presentation last week, and resulting loss of investor confidence. This feels like a deadcat bounce. The bears are still in control.

The UK (as a whole) has not built a single big company anywhere in the world since the last century. The London stockmarket is dying. The odds and culture are thus heavily stacked against THG.

After a huge -65% shareprice collapse in ~6 months, the charts for now suggest 75p is more likely than £7.50.

It's why a lot of folks have stopped investing in UK stocks. AIM and the London stockmarket are in neverending decline. UK asset "managers" and "investors" are the most miserable on planet Earth. They are desperate to talk everything down. It spells disaster for 21st century stocks (like THG) that need support and enthusiasm to get thru the long early buildout. THG should have listed in NY.

Imagine this will go the "British Way", fall to 1 quid, and get sold off abroad on the cheap in a year or two...

There is a distinct lack of numbers and financials in today's press release. Which suggests the deal is fairly small. Revenues from it look to be months or years away. Wouldn't be a surprise to see SNT drift back down to the 20s, once the excitement is digested properly.
