JCVI is calling Nu the "worst ever" Covid variant.

If that proves correct, there is another major lockdown coming, more shutdowns, more furlough, more debt, plus a gigantic tax raid a few weeks after Xmas.

Recession, and negative interest rates, are back on the cards for 2022.

Dow is on track to shed 1,000 points today.

Market is on a knife-edge, due to Nu Covid.

Dow could easily fall -10,000 points before Xmas.

As predicted -- weeks ago -- EZJ shares continue to crater.

Now approaching a 20-year low!

Where wishful thinking and desperate pumping trump reality.

As mentioned before, the golden era of British airlines is over. Heathrow has lost its global standing, Covid is getting worse, the greens will never give up until they stop you flying, and the red taxes will make flights unprofitable. Not to mention there is currently no furlough scheme, and the country can barely afford another 6 months of shutdown and lockdown.

The outlook is bleak.

A lot of folks here have underestimated the severe decline in the UK retail industry! Britain is going post-retail. UK shops and warehouses are going the way of factories. Beaten by better, faster, louder or cheaper overseas competition.

Wouldn't be a surprise to see this drift down to the 20-50p range and then get sold off abroad on the cheap. Perhaps to someone like Walmart or Amazon.

JMAT is a tiny company with a failed battery venture and some cat-converters in a shrinking industry that will be gone in a decade or so! The UK govt will never bail out an old "dirty" metals business from the previous century that supplies gas-guzzling vehicles. The UK hydrogen industry will never takeoff in the UK because the underlying cost of electricity production is way too expensive, and Britain's collapsing manufacturing industry simply does not have enough skills for these emerging "new techs" at scale. The outlook here looks bleak.

As predicted, weeks ago, THG is continuing to plunge. Day after day of red. The bears are in control.

Opaque numbers and CEO issues continue to weigh on the stock.

Plunging an incredible -80% in just a few months.

Target price remains at 75p.

The battery exit is a disaster for JMAT.

It raises serious concerns about whether JMAT has the management skills, tech expertise, and scale to compete in future new markets.

It is also a huge blow for the British automotive, tech, and stockmarket industries, which are in steep, steep decline.

The exit is a major blow to the JMAT brand.

It feels like the beginning of the end.

Wouldn't be a surprise to see this drift down to the £10-15 range, get snapped up by (say) an American, Chinese or Indian firm, and any remaining valuable bits carved up and shipped overseas.

Shorting and n*ked shorting improve liqiuidity in a stockmarket and help to grease the wheels of trading. Markets where shorting is banned are no more (or less) volatile than markets where shorting is allowed. People dislike shorters because it exposes their bad decisions.

Surrey is not as rich as many think. GDP-per-head is way below the US average, and barely the same as a windswept farming state like Kansas. If Surrey brokers / shorters are making money, it is not an excessive amount.

Everyone desperately praying for a BoE rate rise on here!

But it is unlikely.

In just a few weeks, you will see a massive Tory tax raid on your wage packet. Millions will be thousands poorer. Your income tax, NI tax, social tax, council tax, dividend tax, corporate tax -- it's all going up and up and up. Your spending power is going down and down and down.

This will be followed in a year or two by more capital-gains tax, more pension tax, more inheritance tax, and almost certainly a wealth tax.

Energy inflation has already started coming down in recent days.

There is no need at all for a BoE rate rise.

As predicted, THG is plunging into the 1s.

This has collapsed -70% in 2 months.

Today's -10% crash from the early pump, and the close below 200p, are even more bearish signs.

America is a rich country and its wealthy investors can afford to support lossmaking firms, like Amazon, for decades.

Britain is not a rich country, and investors in UK firms are desperate for profit asap, before they run out of cash.

THG made a big mistake listing in London. It should have listed in NY. British investors just don't have the skills, culture or wealth for these types of cash-hungry tech companies.

Dow 40k and Nasdaq 20k coming right up...

The BoE yesterday made a good call.

UK taxes are going to the moon -- in just a few weeks.

NI tax up.
Social tax up.
Council tax up.
Dividend tax up.

Can never understand the enthusiasm for LLOY shares.

It is an old fossil mortgage bank from the past.

In a period, since 1998, when LLOY has plunged -90%, the NASDAQ has soared +800%.

Putting £100k in LLOY would leave you today with £10k.

NASDAQ would have made you (almost) a millionaire.

It's a very bad market reaction today. Suggests a lot of disappointment out there, that rates did not go up. Could see LLOY drift back down to the 35-45p range.
