Me too, starting on April 17th with a reduction in debt and all the numbers starting to turn more positive (barring revenue.)

I also think once the trading updates start improving and old stock is offloaded and we are on a sure footing the media narrative will also start to change. The big boys are buying and holding, and the fact is they still have c20million customers.

Yeah I'd go along with that being a rough bottom. It's been sat in this range for since last June or so.

There may not be much movement but a lot of people here aren't looking on the weekly or couple months ahead spectrum, they are looking at a turnaround stock which could take a few years or so from implementing the turnaround to becoming profitable and in favour again.

Discussion boards are great for differing opinions but for people to come on who aren't invested to label the stock s**t because it hasn't gone up in a few months and who change their minds every 2 mins just screams spam.. and very short termism, which is fine if you are a short term trader but don't give people stick for actually having some patience lol.

You either buy into a stock which you believe is undervalued and await it to return to value or ride the sentiment wave which is fast and exciting. The prior is for the long term investor who can hold years if needs be and doesn't sell just because it hasn't moved up in a short time frame. (As long as the fundamentals haven't changed).

5-15% asos guidance reiterated. 1st half sales down by 18% due to offloading old stock at discount and e-commerce in general affected by general macro. H2 expected to be better revenue wise and less discounting due to less stock being offloaded and them expecting a return to growth. Hence maintaining guidance. Revenue isn't the be all and end all in this market, it's cash generation/free cash flow. Once macros improve and the companies have got their houses in order they can focus on revenue again. For ASOS this is expected from Q4/FY 25 onwards :)

How do you know this isn't a winning stock in the making? Is it because it's not gone up for you when you've wanted it to. it's easy jumping around onto stocks that have already gained. The skill lies in finding a winner, buying and sitting waiting for those huge gains so let's see where this stock is in the next year or 2 from these levels shall we. No one has lost money, just those that can't hold or those that bought at the wrong time in the cycle and done nothing about.

Ahhh, well that's certainly a change. Maybe extra funding will be required, which is why they explicitly mention attracting interest to fund at asset and corporate level. He wants to wait because he doesn't want to give the company away cheaply (apparently) though hard to tell really. The company may have no option with the lack of interest at retail level.

Though I do agree it is a poor uptake from retail investors.. and who can blame them. good job they had the underwriting commitments.

Going bust... lol. It still has £4 million enough to complete the PFS and submit an enviro permit. Alot will change after that, and hopefully the state of the junior market.

Yep, though I'm not really looking for or expecting a buy out. When this starts generating profit which it has done consistently for years barring the last few then we will rerate. What P/E we will come to is open to debate. Zalando is 80 something! We won't just open up at £10+ one day this will start to rerate when the market starts expecting us to be back to positive EPS.

I agree in terms of Shein, it's huge and it has appeal from a certain section of market but ASOS has a huge number of customers and higher quality. They are slimming down, becoming agile to respond to consumers needs and becoming highly profitable again. I know which share id rather buy if shein valued at £70 billion and ASOS at 140x less than that... If my maths is right. 😅

Interesting to see how LSE values Shein post IPO, if it happens. Revenue £30 billionish. Profits of approx £1.6billion. IPO at estimated £70 billion. Seems crazy.

Kind of makes the likes of ASOS look crazy undervalued at c£400million with revenue of £3 billion.. hopefully making profits of c£100million+ from FY25 onwards.

It may give fast fashion a buzz again... Interesting.

Haha I reckon the days when ASOS are in the papers for the right reasons, i.e. the narrative changes will happen again soon.. FY25 the narrative will change. It's been said but you can start to see the consumer discretionary stocks starting to release half decent results/updates leading to increasing cash generation etc. This will transition eventually into a full blown bull market. Imo of course, though it doesn't take a genius to know they go in cycles lol.
