Sure the directors are exploring last minute options but they have no cards to play and i think it is to make it seem to shareholders they are doing what they can but come next week i suspect this will be a prepack administration and sold back to the directors. Maybe they are delaying to get everything in place. The directors continue to take ridiculous salaries so no investor will support a placing without directors taking so salary and to be paid in shares. What peel hunt are up to i do not know.

When you look back and see Jim Mellon can kicking and getting so little done and in 4 months Darren has gone from one side of the world to another, built a management team in Nic, bought mine and now in construction! Surely Peel Hunt were sounded out by Mirriad for a placing and potentially used insider trading knowledge to time their purchases. For a placing to happen at a market cap of £400k the dilution would be mind boggling to get any sort of money as Mirriad lost the plot on cost management. Their overheads should have been in the low millions by per year and not still £8m when they saw the future problems. couple more days of ups and downs.

I have no investment here but as i have always said waiting for news that will give direction. Obviously £8m a year burn is madness if they generated only £80k. One of the biggest assets in Mirriad is its tax losses as we lost over £100m. to someone making cash it means no tax for a long-time. Is Peel hunt going to buy Mirriad, fire all staff, asset strip IP and keep hold of wrapper to sell to a company looking to list, if i knew how to do all that offering £1m cash for Mirriad might fly compared to admin when shareholders get 0. Just an idea but there is money here. If all Mirriad staff fired would probably end up with some cash left over in kitty to help pay acquisition?

Key is last week Mirriad said they had a week and so far still standing. They knew last weeks rns would dessimate the shareprice and should they not have informed the market when they first spoke to this party so all shareholders were aware. Now a placement is impossible given market cap. I guess they are short a few million to get to end of year and so much invested over last decade to now fold. 100% Mirriad tech will continue. Key is Phoenix has organised the debt funding for Wilseyville, Apart from up to $4m in equity which seems almost incidental. Debt and grants all now in place for $36m so this is about to happen and a good chunk of that would be spent with Eqtec. another irton in the fire that looks very close. Would very much like to see Northfork stake sold off as soon as practical to release the cash for Eqtec investors but Chapter 11 was a mess i agree but we are getting to the finish line. we were told people are on the ground but they are taking their time as this was last updated by Greg last month saying Q2.

In grander scheme of things its small change as company valued at £350k so 1% is 3.5k. it would appear to be pure gambling as administration is maybe a few days away based on last weeks rns stating a week. Odds of a lastminite bid etc is possible but very low chance as board seemed to announce so late, possibly intentionally. Only party might be the one Mirriad spoke to making a cheeky offer at last minute but i suspect they are already talking to administrator if the board have not organised a prepack for themselves to own 100%, possibly backed by the previous suitor? Then they own 100% and take it private and lose all baggage overnight.

Kefi is on a wave in Ethiopia and Saudi. As soon as Kefi gets a listing in Ethiopia as one of the only gold companies this will take off on the local market. Same has happened in Saudi with mineral companies many times what same company is worth in UK. Kefi has huge staking claims in Ethiopia and Saudi. There are a lot of factors at play that could drive Kefi. Obviously $300m net cash will help regardless in 2-3 years but in short-term Kefi ie sitting as a major player in Ethiopia and part of GMCO that is equally well entrenched in Saudi. One hell of a journey and if we do get final signatures on monday and get the fabled RNS then we could sky rocket on tuesday so today could be last day under 1p if that happens. Regardless having been here a number of years and final ratification stamp by parliament now government supports it will be just a matter of waiting a few weeks. We got a trading update last year on 2nd May 2024 so its probable we get an update after the bank holiday. I am expecting it to be well received as we have plenty of projects moving forward but just for some reason or another they do not seem to start or finish :) but revenues we were advised were rising and margins improving Last interims mentioned so much progress so 6 months later i certainly expect real progress. have a great bank holiday!

If it looks like major investors exited then someone must be on the other side. no tr1 yet but MMs are not charities so at current price someone might need to issue a TR1 as its pretty easy to acquire 3% without much effort. For record not recommending and own 0 of Mirriad but just hoping tech will live on in some guise.

25p in 5-10 years with perfect storm maybe but 2-5p is more achievable in next 12-18 months. We are told .5p in dividends from year 3 of production is on cards so potentially anyone investing today can look forward to equivalent minimum dividend from year 3 of production. Certainly that supports 5p target price. This excludes Saudi but hard to know as if we sell today maybe $50m but if we hold 5 years maybe $500m as Saudi places high valuation on mineral assets.
