If I was being cynical, it's almost as if this visit and all those great soundbites promoting, "a return of naval ship building in Northern Ireland" are just some sort of contrived pulicity stunt as some sort of sweetner for the leaders of the NI Assembly amid attempts to sort out issues around the "protocol". It's been a month since the initial announcement of prefered bidder status by Ben Wallace at H&W Appledore. Is Sunak now going to do one better and announce the signing of the contract at H&W Belfast. We know how much JW likes a good photo Op. with a PM.
I think ol' farmer Sunak may have just re-opened the gate for the herd to stampead back into the field for a while.
