You're probably right Bricks but I would have thought they would have stuck with the continuity rather than switch to WA. I can't imagine WA being cheaper than Bara but that's just a hunch based on (I think) LR saying we were paying 'top dollar' for WA's metallurgical work. What do you make of us still drilling?

Wonder if there is anything to read into the fact that we aren't continuing with Bara Consulting? Could there have been anything in the PEA they weren't entirely happy about, the only stand out negative change from the SS was the reduced LOM which I had put down to the alternative mining method proposed by Bara which although improving the economics might have speeded up recovery of the known resource. Just guessing, perhaps in the SS there is a reasonable assumption that where the high grade ends at depth and to the east there will inevitably be more more mine but more surety was required in the PEA as there will be in the PFS. Not sure, just thinking out loud :)

On the plus side I don't think WAI would have tendered for this unless they were confident that a successful PFS can be delivered, they know our conc back to front so that gives me some confidence on the mystery deleterious elements. Not sure why we have to have this fog around "Certain of the requisite PFS workstreams" though as the comment echos the statement about being funded only for certain 'key components' almost a year ago. Just leaves me still wondering what are we not funded for as we stand now. Maybe funding won't be an issue soon, WA won't come cheap and it sounds like we're still drilling.

Missed this earlier at the bottom of the Project Toral.com post:

That sounds pretty bullish to me on EU funding, I had been wondering if something in the pipeline has given them the confidence to extend this drilling campaign.

One of them could be Cornish Lithium, just raised £6m via crowdfunding.

Interesting Bricks I thought it was encouraging that CRU Group were forecasting over two decades which should allay some fears that all this is happening while we're likely a few years off production.
"Zinc is also the key component of some utility-scale batteries, whose current market is small but – in CRU’s view – has the potential to become a fast-growing one, adding to overall renewables-related zinc demand".

Agree it all looks very promising Mm's I think Toral could be massive for the area, also think we'll here more on Antonina eventually. Nice piece on mining.com from CRU Group forecasting that zinc demand will grow over the next two decades mainly on offshore wind farm uses. Also mentions applications in batteries which kind of contradicts another article from a few weeks ago suggesting the Zn won't share in the green revolution. Does suggest continuing reduction in automotive demand though.

Yep I see this coming period as the fulcrum point about which we'll learn how this is to be funded. There are still some key questions not least only being funded for 'key components' of the PFS - has the subsequent grant bridged the gap? Could the EU / Spain recovery plan mean we won't need a partner or would a potential grant be more realistically on a scale to supplement a deal through AH's work? Have Conrad been doing anything on the pre-production front or is all this hope going to end in a "Europa Metals is pleased to announce that it has raised... through the issue of.... shares...."? Certainly going to be no shortage of gloaters around here if that happens, let's hope EUZ supporters are celebrating last, longest and loudest for once.

It does look promising mate but I'm trying not to count chickens. Difficult to imagine a project where a direct injection of cash would stimulate so much more economic activity for the region though, surely we must be part of this recovery plan?

Hope so Bricks, a near term mining project would be a major employer in the region plus the boost to the tertiary businesses. Even as a small explorer we have already proven we can provide graduate employment, plus engage in R&D with academic institutions. On the environmental front there's talk of our waste landscaping old quarries, plus synergy with Cementos Cosmos. I think many of us have got a bit weary of seeing this procession of students on Twitter while most of us are underwater with our investments but it could all make sense soon..... hopefully.

Yeah interesting tweak Mm's, maybe someone asked what the DTI is and they wanted to be explicit that it is the UK ministerial department.

Teaye I think Grappa has now gone into hibernation now until 2025 :) Each to their own strategy and all that but I don't see the point of leaving your money at risk in a volatile sector if you don't forsee any reward in the nearer term. Even if the stock price holds it's own the affect of inflation will erode the value of your cash while all the time there is the risk of dilution and at worst EUZ becoming insolvent and losing everything. I think most of us are here because we know the market always looks forward and we don't need to commence production to see the value in the ground begin to be realised in the Mcap. The evidence of the last couple of years has shown that consistently good work hasn't achieved that against a stranglehold of funding fears. My hope is that all the positive op's are getting stored like an elastic band getting stretched and stretched - reveal a good funding solution and the long awaited slingshot will be upon us, anything that erodes PI's holdings and I think trust will be irrevocably shattered and it will feel more like an elastic band snapping. So for me it's still high risk / high reward though the balance is being methodically tilted in our favour, we just have a few more op risks to overcome and of course deliver on the funding.

No Teaye it could even just be LR attending a mining seminar which is what it says after all :) Not deliberately raining on your parade Mm's but I note the first tranche of Spain's Covid recovery plan isn't likely until December, surely the 'value event' needs to come before then? I suppose that doesn't mean it's impossible that we could get news of an allocation before then. Anyway I'm starting to irritate myself over this flippin value event so apologies to the board generally.

No probs Morph I understand the growing frustration with the 'value event' comment. I think if it gets to a quarter of a year and we still don't know what was meant by it there ought to be a formal explanation. The vast majority of investors are underwater and some may have topped up partially influenced by that carrot that was dangled and not in some throwaway comment but an RNS. I know MC said 'potentially' but they must have realised it would raise expectations of imminent positive funding news.

Morpheous I have absolutely no complaint with the Tweets, I think they really bring op's to life and provide interesting non-price sensitive information. A lot of shareholders had been calling for this for ages and I hope they continue to illuminate the day to day events at Toral for us. RNS's are a completely different matter and Europa have long been criticised for presenting the regulated information in too flat a tone of voice. Personally I didn't have a big problem with that though I think I did suggest to LR that they could be 'energised' a little. I agree with your feelings on the 'value event' comment. For me it was out of character with the EUZ reporting culture and since nothing followed swiftly after the HYR without doubt a misjudgement. If they deliver it then of course all will be forgiven but I strongly suspect MC is rueing the decision to put that in an RNS and frankly I'm surprised the Nomad signed it off.
