Sure Grappa the strategy of buying below institutional placings has only worked fleetingly in the past. Most of us had the chance to profit from the last spike and with hindsight I regret not completely de-risking rather than a relatively small sell which I admit went back in and is now underwater. I feel slightly torn currently with EUZ, I can only speak for myself but as I'm holding it almost makes no sense not to pick more up at 4p and yet there is much we don't know, I had hoped to hear more from Bennelong but nothing yet. At least with LR you could get a vibe for what was going on even though he chose his words carefully. I had some encouraging early correspondence with MC but the last one was very much default so I'm currently not bothering.

I honestly haven't the faintest idea but it seems strange that we've had important operational progress (JORC upgrade, de-risking hydrology) since the last one but our joint broker hasn't woven this important progress into some new coverage. On another tack I'm interested that the geotech preceded the resource drilling, that suggests to me that it clears the way for them to advance potential mine plan proposals while the last round of resource drilling is undertaken.

I would have hoped that EK could have stepped up as CH as least for this limited period we have remaining before a decisive solution has to be found. I'm concerned that we haven't heard anything yet as it suggests that whether LR was pushed or walked it wasn't planned. I agree with you that the case for topping up looks shaky given that beating the institutional offers hasn't been a strategy that has worked yet (at least not for a sustained period). There are also going to be massive opportunities in other battered but safer stocks if (and I pray) when peace talks can start. I wouldn't agree with you that no progress has been made. Of course it's bound to feel that way with the SP going backwards but all the work streams have been advanced hugely, yes that won't count for anything if it never gets reflected in the SP but my belief is that providing their are no nasty unknowns Toral is a valuable asset. Maybe in the current climate the capital markets will have safe jurisdictions as a top priority and that should reflect well on us, not that I would ever have wished for a tragedy in the East of Europe to occur even if it did benefit us indirectly.

I think we're barking up the wrong tree to think we're where we are now because of a brand issue. The problem for me is that we need a partner with cash and for whatever reason we can't find one on the right terms. IMO the type of entity we're looking for won't give two hoots how EUZ are perceived as a brand they will be digging deep into the data to figure out what Toral and it's goodies can do for them. This is actually more of a concern for me than laying the blame at some intangible concept of brand perception because I want to know what these groups don't like in the numbers. We know the products are there, we know the infrastructure couldn't be better placed, we know the products are economically extractable and we know the resource is open for expansion. This brings me back round to what we don't know and I still worry about impurities, we still haven't been given the full picture though I note CJ was given some reassurances on this at the AGM. So I guess it comes down to whether you trust them - would DB still be putting more in and would Bennelong have pitched in if he we had high levels of deleterious elements? I guess not but that is on the assumption that they know more than we do which they aren't supposed to :) Oh and we do need a CEO by the way which is why MC had to step in as Interim CEO. Tried to find out if this actually an AIM rule but couldn't find anything conclusive, must be there somewhere.

Hmm.... perhaps to start in accordance with that post - despite enquiries I couldn't get a satisfactory explanation of how the acquisition strategy would work so some agreement there. The rest I can't really agree with but I won't pick it all apart except to say for anyone newish to EUZ the delisting from ASX was in order to deliver the scoping survey (under ASX rules we could only include indicated or measured resources and we were still someway off that). The change of name also made sense to me and I'm confident that the costs would pale into insignificance compared to operations - the success of which is the reason there is still hope here.

No need to apologise tsbs you're entitled to express your feelings but for me the RNS is simply an affirmation that the already stated work programmes have commenced. In my book that is a slight positive. We could have thrown all the money at headline resource drilling but the geotechnical holes suggest to me they are serious about genuinely proving the viability of the project.

I agree Mailgirl, LR was always keen to emphasise the safe and supportive jurisdiction and as someone with a couple of Russian exposed stocks I'm feeling that more than ever. Three weeks now since LR went and we're yet to hear anything substantive from MC, for all LR's corporate failings I never doubted his ardent belief in Toral. I asked MC a simple question recently and got a blatant copy and paste stock reply, Laurence could at times be short often borderline rude but at least he communicated. Drills were supposed to commence Q1 so that still leaves the remainder of Feb and March to fall within that guidance but I have never felt more in the dark with Europa.
