I have just gone again, sold an underperforming share (Biogen) and chucked the proceeds in. My rule is no individual holding to account for more than 15% of my portfolio. But in this instance, I wanted to get to 1.5 million as a round number (not a great excuse for breaking a rule I know). I was much later to the party than many here so my average is now 9p but the story is too good to ignore. Here's hoping breaking the rule doesn't come back and bite me!

I am not sure whether this article has been shared before. There has been a lot of talk here about palladium use in catalytic converters, but that to me is "old tech", much more interesting is its use in fuel cells and the new hydrogen economy and it's that "end use" that is the key and what is driving price and the deficit. This is an old article but interesting nevertheless and where you see China launching its hydrogen strategy PGMs are vital (the second article talks to China's hydrogen strategy). I stand by my previous assertion that this will go to China and Citic have been positioning themselves as a buyer (acting on behalf of themselves+) whilst supposedly being an adviser. For transparency, this is why I have EUA as part of my renewables portfolio alongside companies like ITM, CWR, EQT, HEX, SEDG. No recommendations, DYOR and all that.

There will definitely be a time window for bids. They will always ask for best and final but depending on what comes in that can always be "adjusted", buyers will be set a timeframe for DD and UBS will be concentrating on buyer DD ie. proof of funds + calculation of share value if it is cash + shares deal (which I suspect given the size). I would give something like 6 weeks for submission, 1-2 weeks for consideration and discussion/negotiation, and decision after that. So 8-9 weeks in total. That'll put us around early September methinks.
