You don't need to look any further than Amazon, building distribution logistics to support their delivery schedule. Almost all oil companies are classics of vertical integration through the entire supply chain, from exploration, drilling, extraction, refining, transportation and distribution. So there is no reason why Tesla wouldn't be considering it and have actively suggested it. It doesn't mean it's going to happen but there are plenty of reasons why it could, in fact battery production and car production plus their own retail showrooms demonstrates that they are no strangers to it already.

Ethio, I have to disagree with you re this forward sell of the placing, as there is no logic to it. I have participated in many placings too (including one in ITM at 40p when the market price was 50p) and these have always been below the current share price as was the one you state you took. In those cases, you may have the opportunity to forward sell as there is a clear arbitrage. However, in this case the placing was made as very clearly stated in the RNS, " at a price of 22.5p per share, which is equal to the closing price on 17 August 2020." Therefore there was no arbitrage/forward sale option. You cannot forward sell if there is no market price advantage, so your supposition that the placing was forward sold just doesn't hold water. We've had no RNS confirming the submission as yet let alone anything detailing the ii's which took part in the placing and until then I would suspend judgment as to whether existing ii's have increased their holdings through this placement or we have new investors on board, OR even whether the submission is overtaken by bid events. We shall see, but one thing is certain, you don't forward sell below your acquisition price unless you are a complete idiot.

I just checked and my first purchase was 16th December 2016 at 20.7p, so It'll be 4 years this Christmas. That makes me up 1,343% and I'm perfectly happy to continue holding thanks. If I want to trade it I use my CFD account and make a few quid here and there buying on the dips, no intention of selling off my share holding any time soon.

LTH here having bought in at 20.3p initially and added along the way. Now holding just a smidge under 100k shares. Amateur on charts to be honest, but there is a pennant formation with the top of the pole on 4th June and base on the 22nd June seemingly creating a strong support at 225p. But there is also a rising support line from the 24th July which is just about to intersect with the descending resistance line of the pennant. (would be easier with a picture I know!). Point being that squeeze finishes next Friday where the lines cross. If you believe the chartists we should see a breakout next week one way or another and given the upward support line I obviously hope it is north!

Well we will find out soon. The first people you have to go to for a placing is your current institutional investor base. If they took them we will see revisions to 8.3's coming in post the anticipated placing date of "around the 31st August" which is Monday, so it may to today or Tuesday. Personally, I'm not of the view that the placing has been forward sold, because it was bought at the prevailing market price, you only forward sell when you have bought at a discount. So, you wouldn't be able to strategise a forward sale on that scale to make a profit at the point of purchase. That suggestion would never pass a board resolution. So, I expect the placing to be with existing II's looking for value from the sale process not a very risky quick buck.

Djm1, they are selling some of them to me ))) I topped up again this morning and managed to pick some up at 24.35p. only £7k's worth though as I am seriously over weight with in my portfolio with EUA.

djm1, by "everyone", he must mean the small proportion of the public share holders, Remember, anyone within the remaining 72% has to declare buys and sells and I ain't seen nothing from them other than John Bromley's buy the other day at 26p , so "everyone" is a small percentage of 28%; wobbly legs, traders and shorters, that's all.

FFS, this is why I only read the board in the morning. In the evening it turns into something worse than a teenage girls spat about shoes, and believe me I know as I've got two of them (teenage daughters that is, I've got more than 2 shoes). I look at it this way. 780m shares are held by the general public, that's 28% of the total. Since last Monday there have been a total of 132m share transactions /2 is 66m shares have changed hands. That's 8.5% of the general public holding and 2.4% of the total shares. Because, none of the remaining 72% held by institutions, private companies and major holders have been sold and we know this because they would have to be reported.

The last reported transactions by major holders were the sale of 250k by John Bromley and the sale of 1m by Philip Taylor who then bought back 500k a week later.

So, there is churn in the shares in public hands. Trading and wobbling. Personally, I couldn't give a tinkers what Joe Bloggs does. I'm interested in what those holding 72% of the shares are doing and apparently they aren't going anywhere. Neither am I.
