Sometimes law firms say they can do this by setting up a Chinese wall between the teams on either side of a transaction but no-one would contemplate that in this scenario. If Anglo or NN were transacting they would have to use someone other than DLA for this. That's not a problem, most large firms use multiple law firms, I do and my businesses are tiny in comparison.

I am wondering when in the process they would announce the preferred bidder and price, whether this would be announced as an agreement in principle subject to consultation and further DD or whether we will have to wait until everything is wrapped up on the legals before we hear.

toneman, yes very strong support at 225p level and a breakout to the upside of the flag would suggest a move back up to 330p as the first target. Given the Citi recommendation some of the "over priced talk may subside and weak holders/profit takers may change perception. Personally, I'm in at 20.7p so all this is gravy
