It's almost as if there is no hope at all and mankind is doomed. The vaccine will arrive before the year is dine and normality will be restored. We all just need to keep our powder dry.

Despite the gloom and doom being spouted, this SP has help up reasonably. Covid 19 will pass. RR appears to be valued purely on aero income - which was a large chunk of income of course. But...necessity is the mother of invention and this is a world class engineering company. RR will diversify and increase work in other areas - defence, nuclear etc. Not a 1 track pony and it will show. Once the pandemic passes, it will emerge stronger. short term traders can argue as much as they like, this is not an issue for me. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather all my buys were are 260 and the SP was now north of 400. sadly, i haven't got a crystal ball. have managed to get my ave to 316 and will keep lowering as chances come. ATB

FWIW, my take on this is they are planning for all options, which every good company should. Just like RR, city has got hold of rumours and spread it to cause a dip. This pattern is so transparent. But I don't blame them for doing it as its legal (shouldn't be but it is) and its easy money for the big boys.
This will be back up soon. Be patient and don't get panicked into selling unless your strategy is to day trade. ATB.

Webb, for what it's worth, I think it's just shorts closing. Was walked down from 400 and now a bit back. Easy money for those controlling events. For plebs like us, just roll with it. I've bought at 260 several top ups. Would not have had this opportunity without the shortest, so odd as it may seem, I'm grateful. Temporarily having to see my initial investment in the red will not be an issue in 5 years.
I've also researched the mini reactors. Yes this is just plans now, but potentially huge.

I know the people running the trials are giving cautious messages about the time it takes to get a vaccine going etc. However, unlike usual times when testing a vaccine for approval, the number of cases with the virus is huge so getting results from trials will take considerably less time than usual. Sensibly, companies are testing in areas such as Brazil and soon in India where cases are still large in numbers. So enough data will be available sooner than normal. IMO we are looking at autumn before results are released and these are already in production, so come Oct, we should be in a position to inoculate elderly and health staff along with the flu jab. Normality will return after as young people are not particularly getting too ill with this so they can wait longer to get a vaccine anyway.
So, not long in the scheme of things.

Very odd. Expected a better reaction but the market seems almost not to have reacted. May just be early days. There is little doubt this is a game changer.

Just need to be patient. Treatment news and vaccine news have all been good so far today so IMO, afternoon surge up will come.

For example was worst case scenario. Hardly mentioned that. Plus, flu etc will be a lot less due to masks, distancing etc. If covid spread is limited, so will flu and other viruses. But reassuring news does not get clicks, so on we go with doom and gloom.

Media outlets need to get a grip. Constantly hamming up any bad news and not putting things in perspective. People have a limit of tolerance and this constant negative press is not good for people's mental health.
Sorry for the rant!

If you are making money, fair play. I haven't got the time to day trade as have a day job that precludes this. I will just keep loading each time it dips near 260. I am happy to wait 5 plus years if needed.

Starting Monday, vaccine news followed by run up to opening. This period will signal the future. Good luck all.

Vaccine news is due then. We already know it's going to be good. The issue is, just how good. If v good, market will react exceedingly well. IMO. I'm staying put.
