Yes agree. Seems very odd not to have used furlough and to give refunds when cash position is in negative. The sooner Sir Roger takes over the better - then he can get rid of current mob of execs and start again.

I think LTH's are right to be very upset. As a recent entrant, this retains a fair chance of reasonable recovery medium term. Sir Roger will probably end up running the show and that is probably a good thing. ATB

Drop in the morning to buy back later seems to be a trading pattern. Risky as anytime a big rise may happen. I really don't want to be out scrambling to get back in when that happens. Impatience will cost many. Hold and wait is my plan. ATB

Honestly, the press should be ashamed of the constant negative narrative. This pause is routine. Happens all the time in large clinical trials and almost always blows over. The headline is so misleading. Lazy, pathetic journalism. Do they not realise the damage to our people's mental health from all this negative news bias. Males me so mad.

Zoro, agree lack if news from the CEO is annoying especially after the hype. However, if not for Jangho changing tack and selling, this SP will have hit 80+. Momentum is still there and once the Jangho selling clears, which must be close as they must have sold again today, this will go up. ATB and have a good weekend.

In the US will significantly boost the SP. I expect this afternoon will see a few short positions close. Good luck all. Not the time to be selling these shares. IMO

SAGA drifting down when other travel shares are higher. This is very odd given the immediate liquidity concerns have been removed. Odd and frustrating.

It's possible Mooky and family have rebuffed Jangho and other companies from bidding so have decided to walk away. Other possible reason is an alternative takeover/merger plan is underway? All speculation of course. What is likely is Jangho has continued to sell this week and the SP has held up well. Cinema's are open and this company should have a steady rise now to more sensible level. ATB

Cine went up to a pound when cinemas were still shut and Jangho hadn't bought only shares. So they have decided to top slice. Ho well. Someone clearly mopped up their shares and whilst it has dampened the rise, it hasn't stopped it. Patience is needed to make the really big profits in the stock market. I've learn't it the hard way sadly. Cinemas are open, films lined up for release over the next 3 months. The only thing I'm astounded by is the timing of Jangho's selling - just before the party is about to begin in full flow! ATB and stay calm.

Poker, I think that's my point. This is not my house and it is not an emotional decision. The company executives seem to be treating it as if it were their house and have gone to another source to pay off some debts.
If I could not afford my house repayment the bank would sell my house at a knockdown price to get their money back. And the bank would be doing right to protect the interest of their shareholders. Anyway, its a done deal so little point in arguing about it.
I'm in profit here so not personally too fuss3d as I don't intend on selling for several years. The governance process here wasn't right in my view but am happy to accept I know only a fraction of the facts.

Have to admit, those who said down to near 200 were right. However, the company will come out stronger from this pandemic. Leaner and perhaps with a strategic direction less reliant on commercial travel. I'll try and average down from my 253 in the meantime. In 5 years, I will be in significant profit IMO. JPM are clearly driving through their agenda. Brokers get it wrong as often as they get it right. I'll take the 80 p prediction with a bucket of scepticism. Atb

Jed, a few if's in there which is the problem. Bird in hand is worth many more in the bush. When the news first broke and 37p was bandied as the amount Sir Roger was buying at, it seemed an excellent deal and would have been at least matching the 33p offer once his extra purchase of 15p per share was factored in. Currently however, it seems a bit unclear as to who exactly is profiting more. 33p/share is quite a bit more than the 20p per share Sir Roger will be paying for about 25% of the company.

This morning seems to be a steady but small rise. Hopefully it will stick this time. GLA

I'm struggling to comprehend why anyone would sell at this point. This could explode at any point. Any potential profit taking must have already happened. Those who have held on surely are holding for a much higher exit point?
Anyway, I'm holding firm. This IMO is only going up from here and I'm happy to wait.

Big smoke: I agree we don't know all the details. The approach wasn't a rumour however as the company have been quoted agreeing an approach was made even if highly conditional. It is surely up to the shareholders to decide if this was worthy or not? Anyway it's done now and I'm ok but feel for those who sold in the last two weeks at a loss. Could easily have been me too but I decided my research into vaccines and improved testing would mean there was little downside and a lot of potential upside in the next 6 months. So I kept adding in small amounts. I had thought it would take 6 months for this to turn, and the timescale is much shorter now with this investment.
However, my faith in the stock market is less secure. I assumed AIM was for the cowboys. It seems FTSE is no different.
