They were shut for 3 months. Now open and cinema is one of the few entertainment options around. I understand the need to bash, just hope people can see through this.

Tall chap, exactly. These are results for the time when cinemas were shut. That is SP is where it is. Cine have used all the gov't help with furlough etc to conserve cash burn. Have raised cash already. Cinema's are open and income now flowing again. I don't know why results are surprising people. Ignore the doomsayers.

Was always going to be bad. Nothing surprising and IMO is already priced in. No nationwide lockdown and cash is coming in.

Have increased again. What are they up to and what do they know? Seems promising that they are loading up just prior to results. ATB for tomorrow all.

So not celebrating yet. We're just correcting the recent fall. Needs to get into the mid 60's before it feels like a decent recovery pending results. ATB

I agree with you but to be fair, they were valued at 32-33 p per share by the consortium that approached the board for a buyout. I have confidence this will be fine medium term but am surprised it actually dropped to 12 given the premium paid by the soon to be Chairperson. Anyway, all will be well in 12 months time so nothing to do but wait.

Vaccine news could drop any time in the next 3 weeks. Don't get caught out when that happens. This second wave is due to young people going about their business. Hospital admissions is the key factor and this remains very low. Yes govt will probs yield to pressure from the media to 'do something'. But it will be just to appease and it will be short.
Panic and sell at your own peril. IMO.

Purchase, good post and completely agree. This chat has become too toxic so I've stopped reading it regularly. Just need to keep a calm head. In a month all the vaccine news should start coming in and will calm nerves.

Done and dusted. Have taken up all my options. The carnival CEO is absolutely right, appetite for travel and leisure will be enormous when the pandemic passes. Can't really recreate the smell and feel of warm sea breeze with a radiator, a fan and a screen shot of a beach!
The danger was SAGA going bust before that happened and that is very very unlikely now. So, will SAGA benefit from the bounce back - my bet is yes. By mid 2021, vaccines and better treatment will allow the world to be back to near normal. The over 50's, and over 60's in particular will not have spent much money, are least likely to have issues about unemployment and will have been the ones in lockdown the longest. They will want to travel and travel and travel. Anyway, that's my take and I have placed my bets. ATB with your decisions.

This was my understanding too. As the % voting increases, the probability of shorts closing increases. This practice should be banned. It allows people to rig the market at will. Eventually people will lose faith and move to investing in other things like property and tangibles. This is not a free market economy. It's the wild west economy. Stinks.

Otherwise I will get too diluted. The new shares at 12p and 27p should put the actual price in old money at 17p, near to where the market has found- so we will be getting new shares at a discount and the price should not drop to 12 as it does in traditional cash calls. For that we need to thank Sir Roger for the 27p purchase of a third of the new shares. I'm sure he will do very well out of it too. ATB
