Seems afoot. And I get it completely. Has caused a retrace in all probability. Im still holding on. This rise must be due to a good reason. So much stock in sticky hands, free float will run out soon.

Unstoppable. I am speechless. Wow. Crikey, glad I held on. More luck than judgement but after a lousy 2020, i will take any luck that comes.

This can't be rising so quickly without reason. Happy to profit but surly the company needs to come out and say if there is a bid? Or at least provide some statement about the rise? Very happy for it to keep going up but am hoping this is based on solid foundation. GLA.

Are probably buying back now as risk of insolvency has disappeared. In the absence of vaccine updates, I expect we will see a few holding RNS drop in the next few days.
As tempting as it is, I am holding onto all of my holding - my previous mistakes have been to sell too early into the rise. Not this time as I don't really need the cash and don't want to trade, so small dips will not matter longer term. ATB and each to their own.

Surely the news has leaked. Thought so yesterday when Shell bounced right up before close. Someone knows good news is about to land. IMO

This SP lingering as are many others. Awaiting news flow with huge uncertainty about direction. Risky to be out IMO, but agree it's hard to call. I'm staying put as my take is oxford vaccine will succeed with the unknown being how well vs Moderna/Pfizer. But this is entirely my opinion of course. Not long to find out. News should be here next week I expect.

I have not seen any news to cause this move. Some of the chunky buys towards close are way too large to be by PI's (even some of you bigwigs on here!). Institutions must be re-entering in a big way and there will be a reason - hopefully we will find out in a day or so once they have filled their boots. Bodes well for those holding anyway so not complaining mind. ATB.

B668, I hope not for my sake as I'm already sufficiently heavy in this and BP, so a drop is unwelcome. I would like to point out it isn't optimism about the vaccine - its now fact. Optimism was before the results were released. Now it's a question of when and how soon in the next 12 months life will return to normal, not if. ATB

Jed, agree lots of value shares available. However, as a part of a balanced portfolio with little downside after fund raise and positive vaccine news, I don't see why ii will not be adding. Us PIs make little difference to the SP.

Salesale, wow. These comments are all relevant but out of date. The market is looking forward and there is a nailed on solution. Picking out a few cautionary lines which are in effect mandated disclaimers does your argument no favours. Present a balanced picture and your posts will carry a bit more weight. For example, you forget to mention the vaccine you seem to pour cold water on has been vastly more successful than anyone, even the creators had hoped for. 50% effectiveness is considered good. 90 to 95% is stratospheric in vaccine effectiveness.
So each to their own. I'm already in with a significant holding and I've made my position clear. I'm staying put unless there is a storm on the horizon. Currently as far as I see, Its still water and a clear blue sky ahead. ATB

Agree. Economic reality will mean most ii will be back soon enough in good volume. Those ii required to follow green rules may have to avoid but there are plenty others big institutions who will be filling their boots now that recovery is well within sight.

Paddyboy, agree. 250 is still a very low price. Only a few months ago when there was no vaccine in sight, BP was up at 340. A fair price for current risk and given it is going to be at least 6 months before travel is well and truly back to reasonable levels, is about 300-320 IMO. DYOR etc

More vaccine news will act as a catalyst for rise. Moderna and Oxford news due in next 2 weeks. The retrace after the first vaccine was due to people pouring cold water on it based on logistics, availability etc. As more become available, particularly the Oxford vaccine, all doubts will dissipate in an instant. So I don't buy the theory that this anc other travel related stock will retrace. IMO, Its all good from here. Hold and wait.

Soleman, agree. Been investing for about a decade and my one clear lesson is not to fold too soon. When one is 20% down and you get to 10% up, the temptation is huge to bank and get out. Usually this means missing out on massive rise after. My worst was a lithium miner. Sold and the ruddy thing 10 bagged after! I've sat through the drop and am in 10% profit in shell. No way am I selling. Not expecting massive rise but 20 pounds in 2 to 3 years is very much likely and in the meantime the divi is way more than I'd get from my savings account. No brainer.

In the summer, when no vaccine was in sight and a second wave was predicted, this share rallied to over 13 pounds. Then it drifted down to 8.50 on fear of a prolonged lockdown winter. The situation could not be different. One vaccine confirmed as 90% effective (which is huge by vaccine standards) and more to come. Sell now and regret at leisure is my view. Forget the minor pull backs and sit tight. Oxford vaccine news could land anytime. ATB.
