Should have added, in 20 years perhaps a significant shift away from oil is possible but will match dwindling reserves anyway so oil price should stay fairly robust for a while yet.

Will be similar to pre pandemic. What has really changed in the last 12 months other than the world is less wealthy?
Technology hasn't suddenly evolved such that we can turn green and if anything government cannot afford the subsidies towards green energy when the economy is in doldrums.
IMO a sharp recovery to pre pandemic levels for oil is the way this will pan out. May take to late 2021, but it will happen. These shares are still a bargain and why they are rising. ATB

They seem to have purchased a lot of their holding at over 100p in old money with some at 45p last July. Will have lowered their average somewhat with the RI at 12p but nonetheless be significantly under. If they lost faith in the business, you would have thought they may have bailed like standard life did before the RI. seems an odd time to be selling, just when recovery is underway. Anyway, will act as a drag on SP but someone is clearly mopping up and SP has maintained fairly steady. GLA

At 31, I'm in profit. Nice to see the SP increase. Taken way longer, but as the only red share left in my portfolio, it will be good to see this turn green too. Hopefully by the end of this week or sooner! ATB

I'm here to exchange share ideas. I'm not here to pick a fight with anyone. Sometimes misinformation needs calling out. Discuss conspiracy theories with your mates etc to your hearts content. Syayfocused, exactly. Selling too early is the mistake many make and miss out on huge gains to come. Why hold through the lows, to then bank a 10% profit when much larger rises are yet to come. Everyone has their own strategy of course, but patience usually pays more. ATB

Tacet, pretty irresponsible to be spreading anti Vax news. Have your view and do what you wish but spreading baseless scare stories is not good form, especially when many are dying still and we have a way out.

No new news to understand the rise, so either a background buyer or simply re-rating of a beaten down covid stock coming back to life.
Does seem to follow a pattern that company news items and reviews coincide with significant share movement. For once its on my side, so I will take that!

Some swings today. I guess everyone is trying to second guess and some will be trading so swings are to be expected. Hope it settles down as I am finding this terribly distracting and need to focus on the day job!!
