Salesale, moderna vaccine needs to be stored at -20, not -70. Huge difference in logistics. Most people have a -20 at home, our household freezers. So, I don't agree with your concern re moderna. Pfizer yes, Its an issue but to get care homes and hospital staff vaccinated, this will be possible using Pfizer as fixed locations mean mass vaccinations in the 5 day window after vaccines are removed from the -70, is feasible. Not saying it's easy, but UK is up to this. Many countries will not be, and the Oxford vaccine will provide the solution there. 60%effective is sufficient to suppress the pandemic. ATB

Bladey, agree but remember, the US have a lot of the moderna jabs on order. That is Likely to be approved soon and roll out there will make a massive change to Cine prospects. A vaccine that was 50% good, would have been thought to be perfectly ok. 60% is excellent. 90% is stupendous. It's all in perspective.
60% effective is better than the traditional seasonal flu jabs for effectness. The Oxford vaccine treated people had zero hospitalizations. So 100% effective in stopping serious illness. This will be over by summer. Stop sweating the small detail. A lot of misinformation and idiotic nonsense being spouted by people who haven't good a clue about science. Man was always going to take this, the speed and effectiveness is breathtakingly good. Instead of celebrations, we are worried about the small detail. Odd indeed.

NSS, yes I'd agree. 18 pounds in 6 months is realistic. This is a steady share with good dividend returns. Not one for explosive capital growth. On the flip side, Its a pretty safe option and darn side better than money in the bank. A pal of mine had 30 k sitting in the bank earning 0.5%interest. On my suggestion he put 15 k in Shell and 15 in BP with ave of 1025 and 230. He owes me a few pints wouldn't you say!

Rox, I feel your pain. Similar happened to me on carnival. Had a pile at an average of 830. Tried to be clever and missed out on the spike. But we live and learn and yes, laugh at our own greed!!

Once this is done and roll out begins, which is only 3 weeks away, all this noise will be forgotten. I hope the gov't makes it mandatory to be vaccinated before travel. Otherwise a few conspiracy theorists will hold the rest of us to ransom. ATB

BP has a long way to go up before you should really consider selling, top slicing etc. Hold and wait. Best way to make cash on the stock market. Diving in and out is not for the amateur. The stress will not be worth the few percentage extra. Buy, hold and go gardening. Much better for your health and wealth. ATB
