WG are in a very sticky position here, a listed company who had similar circumstances and was also embroiled in a takeover offer had to raise in order to strengthen their position against the company making the low ball offer. They got the cash diluted the hell out of shareholders and takeover offer petered out and rejected. No offer agreed and company still to this day in a pathetic state SP trading at lows and it never recovered. WG will be falling on a RIGHTS ISSUE which as they have until 24th March with accounts due 31st March I have no doubt it is being organised now. In all of this drama yesterday and revelations you have all forgotten or chose to ignore the elephants in the room here. Why have institutional investors and funds exited from here in the 20s? At clearly a big loss if they weighed up the situation same as you are all doing now? Why have shorts felt confident and comfortable to increase here?

It is not as simple as the herd here are making out. The risk versus reward here is weighted down by risk. Don’t shoot the messenger but for the company’s survival as a going concern a rights issue has to come in pretty quickly! THAT would clearly answer why the institutional investors and institutional shorts are behaving in the way that they have done. Market is literally telling you what is going to happen here. Use the clues. Having a one way focus blinkered opinion is never a good look or a good strategy even if it’s news you don’t want to hear. They need cash they are in trouble they are a wounded animal and have been sighted by the hunters they need help to survive and quickly. The company has only been trading in the 50-60 arena anyway so unless you really want to get spiked on a pole exercise caution and patience. Rampers will be telling you it’s going to the moon as they hit the sell button but with Barclays and others still selling last of what they have the risk is being heaped on to retail for a reason!
