Years of disappointment...15 Dec 2025 19:31
The aim of the company is singular: to achieve any regular revenue from any source, that is: to become commercial. We've come close repeatedly but been frustrated each time. Each frustration has led us closer - we've got a top class CEO. We've got a suite of products that work together. We've got a pipeline that's not only large but - critically! - varied and diversified, spreading the risk. But I do feel that we often, as shareholders, trip ourselves up. I've regularly seen - and this is over the course of many years - offhanded comments from members of the board about targets, targets which are completely valid but about which they have little control, metamorphosed into absolute deadlines by the time they reach this board. And it's setting ourselves up for more disappointment where none need to have existed. Yeah, there's a January aim for MSC. It's not a promise, a guarantee or a deadline, there are other parties to the contract. We know for sure that the 2025 delay was due to MSC *assuming the trial would go well and wanting to make sure MSAR bunker supply was assured when they go commercial with it.
That's just incredible. But, it might also happen in February. This has been an incredibly tough slog for all long term investors. Let's not make it even tougher for ourselves by inventing hurdles where none existed before.
